I am extremely partial to C/O pasties (shortcrust is my favourite over flaky) and also the cheese and bacon pastry, I also enjoy the generously filled rolls and super salads. The tirimasu slice is delicious but not often available. For anyone who complains that what...they want is not available later in the day, It must be a very diffcult job indeed to determine how many of each item will be baked every day, given that the number of visitors every day depends on the weather, the accommodation change over day and many more factors. Criticism on TriP Advisor of this kind should not, I feel be made when it is so obvious to everyone that all areas of Cornwall are suffering from being very overcrowded and this takes its toll on all the service industries and their staff. Any left over products at the end of the day have to go somewhere, either be wasted or packed in boxes to be frozen at the end of the day. It is obviously not desirable to have too much stock left over., I've always enjoyed Cornish Oven products and they are definitely in the top five of my favourite pasty list!More

We stopped for some lunch as part of lands end to end to Jon o Groats cycle trip, to raise money for the Brain Tunour Charity. Whilst buying my lunch I asked if my drink bottle could be filled with tap water. I was told...by the woman that served me that they wouldn't be able to fill my bottle due to reasons including covid, and that the water wasn't fit consumption, bearing in mind I could see a sink with a tap in the background!? In my 20 years of cycle touring in the UK and abroad I have never been refused drinking water, even when not a customer. The excuses given appear to be lame. I do believe there is anywhere in the uk (especially somewhere that serves food and drink) that is on mains water that does not have a supply of drinking water. And covid? All I asked was for my drink bottle to be filled.More

Popped in today for a pasty, never been before and as we were on the way home from a camping weekend we thought we’d have one. The best thing about it was the pastry, it was very nice and looked lovely. However I’d say I...ate two thirds of the pasty before I came to a clump of dry beef, the potato mix tasted strange and I couldn’t quite put my finger of it… then I saw it… a bit of leek, which would explain the sort of sweet taste. Really wouldn’t bother and if I’m down that way I certainly won’t be going again. If you want an authentic Cornish pasty then this is only just up from a Ginsters!!! Price was fair but we both threw them away without finishing them.More

Absolutly delicious and full of flavour. They were pretty huge and full so it was a challenge but a very welcomed challenge at that. A definite must have. (I indulged in the flaky chicken pasty).

Visited today at 14.30 to purchase my family some of your recommend Flaky Steaks,but to my disappointment I was told there was no steak available. Only cheese and a couple of chicken.This to me is very poor considering your closing time is 16.00.

Really lovely staff and pasties were lovely! Our little pug loved the smell from outside. Would highly recommend for lunch or food on the go. Thank you

Sorry but I just find the staff abrupt and this is not the first time I have felt like this. I very rarely write Trip Advisor reviews and took the chance of coming here today in the hope that the staff's attitude had improved.... no...such luck.More
