It says a lot about a place when the locals recommend it. In my case my AirBnB host said it was one of the best places in town. And she wasn't wrong! It is an old pub. Very old. But it all adds to the...More

Called in whilst visiting Penzance for lunch. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Beer was good, well looked after. We both had starters which were both very well done. Main course I had the gammon which was well prepared but a bit on the small side....More

We visited the Turks Head following a recommendation. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the food was very good. The Pub has a good offering of cask ales and a long standing good reputation. No wonder it was quiet busy on a Monday evening...More

We had dinner here and while the beer was good, the atmosphere was great, sadly our food was a bit overdone. Not our favorite, but maybe we would try again to see if maybe it was just an off night.

Wonderful ambience, great food, service with a smile all in a beautiful setting. The pub has a family feel. It's a real old world pub with a fantastic beer garden out the back. I recommend the Offshore lager. We'll be back to visit again for...More

Very bad as I ordered the belly pork on a bed of bubble and squeak, which was a patty type of round. I realise that belly pork is cheap and tasty but when you pay near to £14 for it you expect a full strip...More

What a gorgeous place! Had the most delicious lamb couscous and son had lemon chicken with chickpea stew. People round us having more grad pub grub and loving it. Old school Cornish pub with big ambitions and no pretensions. Amazing 😉

We have eaten lunch here a few times and always enjoyed it, our last visit was very disappointing. I ordered soup of the day (curried cauliflower) which arrived in a plate with a small dip in, it was tepid and there was probably a single...More

What a gem of a pub, the oldest pub in Penzance with so much history. Beautiful food, amazing staff and dog friendly. We loved it so much we visited 3 times during our week in Penzance. Would highly recommend
