Called in for lunch the other day and big disappointment - no food! None served day or evening. However, drinkers are welcome to bring in pizzas and pasties etc and eat in the pub. Still a nice little pub, but it has lost some of its charm without food. The rating reflects that.

Pleasant surprise. Small, cosy pub in the centre of Penzance. Popped in for a quick half and ended up staying for longer. Friendly locals, good banter. Very enjoyable.

Yet again a delicious meal in very friendly and welcoming pub, good food and excellent beer that the landlord brews.

The pub celebrated 10 years during my visit. Nice barbecue and live music. Small and cozy place with nice staff.

Once again a great Sunday lunch. Perfectly cooked beef and beautiful home made yorkshires with plenty of rich tasty gravy, all topped off with lovely crunchy and fluffy roast potatoes. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff who were always smiling and attentive. The Crown is a wonderful pub which we will defiantly be going back to. Friendly locals,... More

We had an amazing Sunday roast here last year and have kept meaning to go back. We returned, again for Sunday lunch, but unfortunately the food was not a patch on what it was which is so so disappointing. Nothing tasted very fresh, like it was reheated leftovers, the Yorkshire puddings were extremely doughy. The fabulous rich jus which we... More

A first class Sunday lunch. Home made, with fresh vegetables, tender meat, good gravy and warm plates ! You could not fault it. An excellent Shiraz to wash it down and all in an unpretentious, friendly and welcoming pub which on top of it all brews its own beer "Cornish Crown".

Popped back to The Crown on steak night, hadn't booked but we arrived early and managed to get a table. The food was delicious as ever, my normally slightly picky daughter ate everything, still fab beers, had a lovely glass of wine, service friendly and swift, do pop along! I couldn't manage a fabulous sounding pud, but my partner did... More

Description
Set on a quiet Penzance back street, The Crown is one of Cornwall's hidden gems. You'll find no distracting screens, jukeboxes or slot machines - just friendly local people savouring the ambience and hospitality of this renowned establishment. The Crown is also home to Cornish Crown ales, a local real ale brewed by the landlord that has a loyal following with six regularly brewed variations. Three draft ales are always in tap at The Crown, and this will expand to six pumps of real ale. There are also weekly guest ales and we also have Prosecco on draft.
