We have been visiting the Kings Arms at Paul for a number of years. It has had its 'ups and downs'. We are so very happy to report that things are most definitely on the up at last! Today we went for a long winters walk on the cliff path... wonderful but VERY cold. We were so pleased to find... More

Just had a sneak preview at the new decor, which is fantastic! Well done to Will, Nigel and the great team of lovely locals. The bar now looks bright and welcoming so we'll definitely be back. Love the idea of displaying the work of local artists, too. A great village pub!

We stayed here last night for one night as we had come to see the famous Mousehole Christmas Lights. After being out in the freezing cold we walked back up the hill to a long awaited hot meal in the Kings Arms and we weren't disappointed! The food was delicious, freshly made, didnt have to wait long, hot and tasty.The... More

I was made very welcome in The Kings Arms by all staff especially Will and Nigel and made to feel like one of the locals, I was staying away for business for 3 nights, and although this had the smallest room and no ensuite - it was my favourite place to stay by far. Great company and Great food/drink. The... More

Went with Queenie and two close friends and their daughter for evening meal. This will not be everyone's cup of tea, but for us was very good. Wife had £13.50 rump with trimmings and was very good for a UK steak. I had chilli at £8.95 with option of rice or chips, obviously went with rice. Food well cooked and... More

Attractive-looking building opposite an imposing church. Rustic interior with a musty smell. Hearty food portions, but frankly, the food was pretty awful. A steak and kidney pie contained reasonable kidneys but tough steak. A chicken curry, accompanied by a stale poppadum, exhibited chewy chicken and a burger was pretty dire. We had opted for these dishes as the menu indicated... More

We were staying in Mousehole and made the short walk up to this village pub on a Sunday lunch time. We hadn't booked a table and they were completely full serving Sunday roasts, we were just looking for a sandwich and they kindly found us a table and prepared lunch for us even though we could see they were stretched.... While staying at this hotel we had a couple of excellent breakfasts and also had an evening meal. The menu isn't overly ambitious and it would seem from the notations therein that much of the good is the pre-prepped stuff from the brewery or outside caterers, although they also gave a few dishes that are genuinely home-made in house. We... More
