Outstanding meal made with great skill from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Complemented with great wines and excellent service in a single, un-rushed evening sitting. Bruce explains each course, where it’s from and how it’s made. A four course masterclass of cooking. Cannot fault this place....Will certainly be going back.More

Very enjoyable experience. We stayed in Penzance the night especially to come here and were not disappointed. Relaxed dining with beautifully cooked and favoured fish. I particularly liked it as Bruce is not into carbohydrate any more than I am. Apparently only 20% of custom...comes from within Cornwall so I would certainly encourage more people to come as it's apart from it being Michelin quality food it's very reasonably priced. Thank you Bruce!More

We love Bruce and have done since he opened but we do t get to go as often as we would like so while in Cornwall this week we went twice - greedy I know - bovvered!!! I am a great believer In you get...what you pay for and we would happily pay more for Bruce’s experience dining (don’t tell him I don’t want to give him ideas ) The restaurant is Bruce in the kitchen Vicky FoH but it is the food that is the star of this show. The food is what you are given (don’t worry you will be thankful) no choices here (you won’t need them) This is fine dining and I mean FINE DINING Just go and you will see and taste for yourselfMore

Probably the best meal I have eaten, just superb. The freshest ingredients and Bruce's enthusiasm. Loved Bruce introducing each course, talking about the fish and veg, where it came from and how he had prepared it. A visit is a must if you are planning...to be in Penzance...More

Great to re-visit this wonderful venue and have the full "Bruce" experience (Bruce Rennie is the owner and solo chef). Tasting menu with the chef introducing each course and the matched wines (for those opting for the wine flight). Expert cooking, mainly fish based, and...enthusiastic presentation. Dishes included oyster with cucumber and ponzu, wrasse and cherry tomatoes, brill with celeriac puree and leek, hake with courgette chutney and squash and apple tart with bay leaf flavoured ice cream. All amazing. It is worth going for the wine flight as each is carefully selected and I was surprised to enjoy wines I would usually avoid. Great service - strongly recommended.More

We were in Penzance and decided to try the Shore based on the reviews and also the video on the website...so glad we did as the fixed menu was outstanding - sharp cooking, great fresh flavours and Bruce Rennie’s passion, enthusiasm and descriptions were infectious....He was a great host - barefoot as well! Dining room is small but well spaced with funky dining tables. Did not try the wine pairings but had a good bottle of wine - well sourced list from not the usual regions. Definitely recommend.More

Our dinner here for the final night of our honeymoon was outstanding. We loved everything about it, from the tables, the atmosphere, the introduction from Bruce to the food and the service. The food itself was plentiful, really delicious and beautifully presented. The wine pairing...was exceptional, probably the best we’ve ever had (and very reasonably priced). We are so happy that we found this place and really hope that we can come back some day.More

I would look at the menu on their website first or on Twitter- it’s a fixed menu with no children’s options so at least you could make an informed decision.

You definitely need to make a reservation. Not sure about the dog being allowed but, hopefully you can email the restaurant direct to get that answer.
