Enjoyed the hot seafood platter for two. Great service, a fabulous experience and incredible food.

Fantastic review - thank you! Really pleased you enjoyed your experience with us. We hope to see you again soon on your next visit to Polperro
It’s a beautiful pub in a beautiful village. The menu was great, service was absolutely spot on and food was perfect. We had a Bubble and Squeak which I’m told was delicious, I had a very tasty squid and a side of chips and the...little fella had scampi from a great kids menu. Sat in front of a roaring wood burner - everything was lovely, topped off with really attentive service. Made our day - thank you.More
Thank you for your review - we are really pleased we made your visit to us special and you got to enjoy some of our new 'Small dish' menu. We hope to see you again on your next trip to the village.
Food was delicious and the selection was good. I had fish pie and my friend had a cheese sandwich. The fish pie was the best I had ever tasted and Karen and Emily took care of us while we were there.
Lovely review - thank you very much for taking the time to write it for us! We are glad you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again soon.
We visited Cornwall last week and had lunch at The Three Pilchards, Polperro just before coming home. The meal was excellent the best we had eaten all week. The staff Matt and Caisle were brilliant they provided me with advice on their gluten free options...which was great as I am coeliac and it makes such a difference to your meal when you know the staff and the Chef (Louis) understand the importance of gluten free options. They also made a fuss of our dog benji and we couldn't have wished for a better experience we would definitely recommend especially if you have a dog and want somewhere that is genuinely dog friendly or you have special dietary requirements. Well done to everyone we will definitely be back, my partner has said that the next time we visit Cornwall we are staying in Polperro so he can go to The Three Pilchards every day.More

We found this lovely old pub close to the harbour in Polperro. We chose it initially because the was a sign outside saying that dogs were welcome. We were a family group of four with our Bordoodle dog. Inside was very welcoming, the staff were...very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and they had quite a wide range for different tastes on the menu. Karen and Mat made us feel like we were the only customers there though the pub was quite full. Would definitely recommend a visit!More

Thanks for such a nice review
We have been many times and have always had good food and service. Today we had a roast dinner and it was delicious. We were served by Karen, Mat and Matt they were all good at their jobs.
Thanks for the great review
Lovely atmosphere, excellent food. Mat and Karen were serving and could not be more helpful. First visit and looking forward to returning.
Excellent review
We weren't expecting to eat out in Polperro as we had only gone for a look, however as it was around 5pm we decided to grab an early tea. We got a table straight away and drink and food orders were promptly taken. The food...was what I would describe as proper pub food but that's meant as a compliment. Makes a change to get peas on the plate and not in a stupid little pot! A dessert would have been nice, even just ice cream but not a problem (we just like pudding!) The unexpected 'excitement' was that there was an unexpectedly high tide and we were 'cut off'!!!, Much as we would have liked to stayed in the pub, we opted to paddle!More
Thanks for the review, we hope you didn't get too wet
Just had fantastic Sunday lunch at The Three Pilchards Polperro. The pub was very busy when we arrived but we were advised that there were two or three people ahead of us but we could wait at the bar until table became available (or leave...a number to be contacted on). We sat at bar and ordered drinks. It was very well organised and we didn't have to wait too long before being seated. We had pre-ordered our food whilst at the bar and our two roast beef dinners soon arrived. The food was fantastic and plenty of it. Also the service from Karen, Mat and Luke was also fantastic and very friendly. We will definitely be back.More
Thanks for the fantastic review, I'm glad we managed to get you in and fed
We went for Sunday lunch and previous experience taught us to arrive around 11:30am. Arrive at noon and you are likely to be turned away with the small hope of getting a table in an hour or so. Many pubs offer a traditional Sunday roast...but few deliver a value for money tasty meal that leaves you stuffed. The Three Pilchards kitchen delivers in taste, quality, great portions and value for money. Every ingredient was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Great service provided by Karen, Matt and Luke.More
Thanks for the great review.
We took a short break and found this pub. Beautiful traditional harbour pub in Cornwall with tremendous food, staff and venue. Chatted to a regular who recommended the food and he said once we had eaten there we would come back. He was 100% right.
Thanks for the review!
Quick and friendly service, we were looked after by Karen, Matt and Emily. Fish and chips all round, the large option lives up to its name! Gluten free option went down a treat too. Will be visiting again, sooner rather than later I hope. Many...thanks.More

Hidden gem of a pub, beautiful cooked scallops and prawns with a quick turn around from order to being bought out. Friendly staff happy to help with questions on Gluten Free food. Thanks again to Karen, Matt and Emily, we are already planning to come...back before to go back to the MidlandsMore
Thank you for the super review
I must point out at the beginning of this review that six of us visited for Three Pilchards. However, whilst my experience was very poor, this was not the case for my other friends. I ordered the warm Tandoori chicken sandwich, I noticed, but it...came with mango chutney. I do not like mango chutney and therefore asked for this to be left out of the sandwich. To be clear, I am not allergic to mango chutney, I simply really don’t like it. When the food arrived, low and behold, mango chutney was present within the sandwich and I therefore asked for this to be removed. When the sandwich was returned approximate three minutes later, mango chutney was still present as they had simply scraped the bread but couldn’t remove the chutney from the filling! Clearly the Chef did not want to remake the sandwich and I certainly didn’t want to eat the sandwich. I therefore put the sandwich aside and didn’t eat any of it. It was clear that the Chef did not like me returning this and I know better than to do this twice! There was no courtesy check on the table to see if the food was satisfactory when we paid for the bill I paid for the sandwich and nobody asked why I hadn’t eaten it. There was nothing wrong with my friends food, however, as you can probably guess, I was not very happy with the service.More
So disappointed to read this 1 star review, especially considering the 5 others in your party had an enjoyable visit. This situation has been investigated, it appears your sandwich was firstly made with the mango mayo as per the description in the menu. The chef...More
