My husband and I recently stayed in Polperro in February and booked a table for dinner in the evening as the menu looked really appetising snd as we are great lovers of fresh fish snd seafood it was a no brainier because 90% of the...menu was just that! A rare result! It didn’t disappoint. We had prawns in garlic butter, scallops snd moules to share for starters snd then for main, we had fillet of sea bass with vegetables and mash. Everything was divine without exception. We couldn’t believe our luck! So we booked for the next night. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short as the dreadful winds and hurricane type weather threatened to raise all to the ground. So we had to cancel our second night and head home. We were so disappointed I said to my husband we must go back as soon as possible. So we did! We went back in late April and booked every night we were in Polperro and it didn’t disappoint. Claire and Cilla have really made a fabulous eatery and are so warm and welcoming, ably assisted by Nicola who is delightful. Not to forget the chef Andy! We shall definitely be back in the year. Thank you so much !!!More

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with Mussels followed by Cream Tea. I opted for coffee (flat white) and have to say it was one of the best I've had in a long time. We had 2 scones each a plenty of cream and jam....Definitely a place to visit.More

Chance upon this nice restaurant while walking around the picturesque village of Polperro. We ordered the Catch of the Day, the usual Fish and Chips, Seafood Chowder, and mussels. We were not disappointed. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Excellent long lunch. Seafood starters brilliant. Fresh fish for some. Roast beef for others. Huge portions. Excellent service. Would highly recommend.

We visited here on the last morning of our short stay, and are only sorry we didn't visit before! Warm, inviting welcome from very friendly staff. My partner had the 'proper' English breakfast which he said was delicious. Nicely presented, plentiful and with two big...slabs of toast. I opted for the smoked kippers and poached eggs (cooked to perfection), and couldn't resist a sausage on the side too. Again, this was accompanied by two big chunks of warm walnut bread. Really tasty, and definitely set us up for the long journey home. Will definitely be back on our next visit for breakfast/lunch/dinner/cream tea or whatever!More

We're regular visitors here for breakfast and recently for dinner too. We keep returning because the food is excellent and freshly prepared, and the staff are lovely. Simple. The venue itself is also lovely, investing and quaint. This is our favorite place to eat in...Polperro.More

Well the saying, never judge a book by its cover, very much covers my experience today. Walking around and found this little gem on the corner, however looking through the window , not a soul in side. I was With my brother and wife, my...niece and her partner and 3 year son, along side my partner. My niece decided this was the place, my brother was fuming along side me, as we both have been brought up to think, if is empty it’s useless. Well throw that out the window. This place was fantastic, service, food and just the best staff. Food came hot and selection pure magic, 3 fresh catch of the day on a special board, mussels and chowder to die for, my partner had a safe fish and chips. Well it might have been just fish & chips, both said stunning, portion size huge. My niece’s partner, just wanted a sandwich and what a sandwich. All I can say is, TAKE THE TIME TO JUST POP IN AND TRY IT OUT, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Thank you for todays food it was great.More

The menu is okay. Very hit and miss depending who you ask. Other guests who visited say the roast dinner and breakfast ciabatta was amazing!! But the pasty was mediocre. Can't fault the staff, and little/no views of the harbour unfortunately

Beautiful, quirky, historic building right on the harbour front. Had lunch here twice, which was tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff and l can thoroughly recommend it.
