Great tasting and really well presented seafood. My wife had the crusted hake fillet and I had the sea bass. Both tasted as good as they looked!!!

This has to be the best restaurant in St ives. A hidden gem on Fore Street that we discovered a few years ago and have been returning to ever since on a regular visits to St Ives. The food is beautiful, good quality produce cooked...to perfection and well presented - never fails to disappoint, tonight we had the baked feta, courgettes, honey pomegranate and pine nuts starter , garlic and herb ciabatta , followed by the herb crusted hake ,both were absolutely delicious . The staff are amazing, they rush about but never fail to ensure every customer gets the 5* treatment , nothing is too much trouble and they always make you feel so welcome. A great place to eat.More

Greeted as soon as we arrived and polite attentive service throughout. Wished we hadn’t had the olives and ciabatta appetiser as didn’t have space for a dessert abs they looked delicious! The olives were a very good quality. I had the hake main which is...their signature dish and it was beautifully cooked. I didn’t want it to end. My sister and my husband had the chicken supreme which they both said was excellent and not something my husband would normally be drawn to. We shared a side of vegetables and that was plenty between 3 of us. Highly recommend this cosy, friendly venue and its quality dishes.More

We had a lovely dinner at Cellar Bistro. We got served by a waitress called Louis who made are visit enjoyable and easy, she was wonderful. The food was amazing, especially the double chocolate salted caramel brownie. We will be visiting again. The photos on...here don’t do the restaurant justice.More

We ate here as a family of 4 and had a lovely evening. The herb and Parmesan crusted Hake was fantastic - if I could give it 6 out of 5 I would. There is not a huge amount of choice on the menu but...in some ways that is a benefit - driving you to try something new - and there is something for everyone. One of our party needs a gluten free diet and they were well catered for. Highly recommended- beautifully cooked food and lovely staff.More

Actually found this restaurant whilst searching through Tripadvisor and given the great reviews thought we’d book a table and try it for ourselves. We’ve probably walked past this restaurant dozens of times as the front is unassuming as it’s just a single door which could...easily be missed. Inside though it had a lovely vibe and really cozy atmosphere. We were greeted and served by probably the most polite waitress we’ve ever met and she was a delight from start to end. The service was at a lovely pace and very efficient and the timing between courses was perfect, at no point were we rushed. My partner had the Hake and I had Chicken and both were really good. Starters and deserts were also exceptionally good quality and if like me, you love sticky toffee pudding, you’re in for a treat! Overall a very pleasant experience and we can I highly recommend a visit. No doubt we will be returning at some point in the future.More

Wow! I booked this place for my wife's birthday and we couldn't have been happier with our visit. First the food- there were great options both for vegetarians (her) and meat-eaters (me). The food was of excellent quality- I loved my steak, which was cooked...perfectly- and the brownie my wife had for dessert (she let me try some!) was probably the best we've ever had. The staff were just lovely. I had heard that there was one window seat so in my reservation I'd asked if we could have it. When we arrived, I didn't expect to get it and hadn't even remembered asking for it. The first thing the waitress said when I gave my name for the booking was to apologize that they couldn't give us the window seat as someone had booked first. I didn't need an explanation, but the fact they bothered to give me one already impressed me. The second thing the waitress did was to wish my wife a happy birthday. The professionalism and warmth continued throughout the evening. As soon as the window seat was vacated they immediately asked if we wanted to move there. We agreed to and it was perfect. When we ordered dessert they brought out my wife's brownie with a candle in it, totally unprompted- and then got the whole restaurant to sing her happy birthday. I got the feeling that the staff enjoyed their jobs and really cared if we- and all the other guests- had a lovely time. It felt like all the guests were happy to be there- we all knew this was a special place where we would be well looked after. As you can see from my profile on here I've reviewed a great many places to eat, in many different countries and this is truly one of the best I've been to. Highly, highly recommended if you visit St Ives. Thanks so much to the team, you deserve every success.More

Omg!! What can I say it was absolutely delicious the food is out of this world. My dad has recently been diagnosed with Celiac disease (so now gluten free diet) and there was so much choice for him to have. The garlic bread outstanding the...Crumble baked Hake out of this world. So so throughly recommend. I would book in advance though so not to disappoint. Thank you team for a wonderful service :)More
