We stopped off here for a drink while having an early wander along the harbour front in St. Ives. Plenty of seats outside, but it was a little chilly, so headed inside. All table service, and we were greeted by a very friendly staff member....The choice of beers was a little disappointing, and this was the only reason I knocked a star off.More
This is a loverly little cafe on the sea front, very well positioned and the cocktails are to die for So good we went twice in a day .Staff are very friendly and helpful perfect ,will be back to try the bagels
After using this cafe daily for the past few years on our weeks holiday we returned today. The waitress was so very rude even before we sat down. We left. That’s 6 coffees and breakfasts they won’t be getting this week. Don’t bother. So disappointed.
Just returned from 2 x weeks in St Ives the BCB is high on our list of recommendations. Popping in for a coffee, start of a pub crawl, pizza & cocktails. People watching and a drink after a day on the beach. Just perfect and...the views, lovely.More
Stopped here for a spot of breakfast on a wet Sunday morning. Ordered food and hot drink. The hot drink turned up, no sugar offered so had to ask. Food turned up and no salt or pepper offered, so had to ask. I have worked...in hospitality for over 20 years and these things should either be on the tables or offered, I felt uncomfortable having to ask each time!More
Good venue with a stunning view. Dog friendly and nice polite staff. Good quality drinks but we was left somewhat dismayed having to pay a service charge for two drinks. This fact spoilt the occasion.
We visited repeatedly across the first two weeks in June. Although the menu is limited we found that the high standard of both food and presentation was consistent. What's more, the staff without exception were charming and most attentive.
Stopped off for refreshments - Pleasant venue and staff were attentive. Looked at menue but decided we were not hungry althrough many other visitors were tucking in.
We popped into here late afternoon for some hot drinks. Staff were welcoming and pleasant. Cafe is dog friendly. We all order hot drinks which arrived and tasted nice. Cocktails sounded nice, but as i was driving, it was just the hot chocolate for me.
Stopped for a coffee with a view. Very busy but staff were almost not bothered or interested. Did not assist with the options for non on tap soft drinks. Had to drag it out of them. Hot drink was not hot despite a request for...it to be so. Lastly service charge is automatically added to the bill. When we declined that option the question fired at us was “ well wasn’t the service good?”. There then followed a further couple of questions at us and a very off hand production of a second bill. Not impressed, would not visit again.More
Have been visiting St Ives for years and always make sure we come back here for a drink. Great location, good service and reasonable prices.
Great food and very friendly service , we had the Prawns and Salmon, both were cooked very well , highly recommend for all ages
What a friendly little cafe overlooking the sea. Very friendly staff and efficient service. Only had a coffee but it was excellent. A place worth visiting and I would recommend
We were after a cream tea with a sea view so chose here. We asked about gf but they had sold the last cake apparently. A customer recommended the cream tea so we decided to stay. Unfortunately the scone was not a homemade scone, more...likely a scone mix, not a typical cornish cream scone. The coffee we had was both small and lukewarm at best sadly. We would not recommend and would go to the Pedn Olva Hotel next time. We even got charged a service fee, without the option to decline that.More
