Contemporary Indian Cuisine is a meaningless cliché, so when you do find in deepest Devon a different and innovative 'Indian Fusion' eatery it's worth noting. I had squid in a tasty broth followed by an interesting version of Rogon Josh, a whole lamb shank falling off the bone in a fragrant spicy sauce. My vegetarian friend had tarka dhal and... More

I have been a regular visitor to this restaurant now for 10 years or more and have always been impressed with the food and service. The restaurant is certainly not a "run of the mill" Indian and this is reflected by the variety in the menu. The prices look a little expensive, but most of the main courses come with... More

Had a takeaway from here whilst on holiday in the area. We were told at the restaurant that they could not do us a lamb tikka masala, and then laughed when we asked for chips saying they were "not indian". When we got the food home, we were all shocked to find how much grease there was in every one... More

We've been here lots of times but this will be the last. All ok until the end. We asked the waiter to ring us a taxi and he refused to even try saying we wouldn't get one. This was at 9.45pm - not 11.45pm! Unfriendly attitude is putting it politely. The bill was thumped down on the table. No wonder... More

Weird food. Can't recommend it to anyone expecting a normal curry. I'm sure the murgh tika jalfrezi was made from tomato soup. The squid and chilli starter was a bowl of squid rings floating in a spiced jam !

Visited the Spice Bizaar Saturday 4th February 2017 as we were joining my son for a friends and family weekend as he is currently training at the Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth. I had phoned to book a table for 7.30pm to 7.45pm and arrived within the time agreed, we entered the restaurant and were told our table was not... More

We have eaten a few times here when ever we visit family in Devon. The restaurant is in good decor, however don't let this fall you. We ordered a take away and was told to collect it 45 minutes later. We arrive exactly 45 minutes later and the food was sat waiting for us under the till on a cold... More

We visited the restaurant on the evening and was made most welcome. The food we selected was not our normal choice, as the selection was better than the normal run of the mill indian. We where delighted with what was served. Although this is our visit to the spice Bazaar we have no qualms in recommending the restaurant.
