Its not something that is that easy to find nowadays but the Daisy Cafe has it. Amazing food and drink, comfort, reasonably priced food and drink, a simple but varied enough menu that caters for all, fresh local produce and the friendliest staff and owners you can find! Im so glad that this little cafe is just up the road from us as we spend pretty much every Saturday morning here for our breakfast. Once a month they also open on a Friday evening and you're always in for a superb evening. Once again, the atmosphere, food and staff are faultless and a pleasure to spend time with. We've been regulars here since not long after they opened and will continue to be regulars. There is a lovely patio area for when the sun is out and you can even take your dogs along with you for a bite to eat. Highly recommend a visit to The Daisy Cafe and I promise you won't be disappointed!!

We visit this amazing cafe as regular as we can because everything about it deserves a 5 out of 5. The food is locally sourced and tastes great, the staff are super friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. It's sad to see a local gem impacted by these challenging times but fear not, they are now providing a limited menu for takeaway. That means we can get our regular fix of local produce, cooked and served by the friendliest people around. All whilst staying safe. So what are you all waiting for, if you live in the Heavitree area, get down to the Daisy Cafe and support one of your own.

Always a warm and cheery experience. The staff are always friendly & helpful. The food is cooked impeccably with a great variety within the menu. They have lovely monthly evening dinner events too. Currently (during lockdown) they are offering a lovely takeaway menu that you pre order and collect. We had beautiful breakfast baps this morning and a gorgeous coffee 😋 Looking forward to next time and even more so, to post lockdown where we can come enjoy the lovely atmosphere and beautiful garden seating area. What a beautiful cafe, well done Faye, Matthew & Team 💕

It’s a shame to say that I didn’t love my one and only experience here. I popped in for a coffee, to an empty (one family just leaving) cafe and was greeted with a frazzled & distracted member of staff. They seemed immediately irritated I didn’t want food & said they had a full garden of customers. Being the only person inside, I wasn’t sure why they were so frantic, surely they’ve had more than one customer before? I asked for a coffee which came quickly, but wasn’t offered sugar and I didn’t want to ask! While there they turned an elderly couple away (still me being the only person inside) as they only wanted a drink. They were repeatedly asked if they wanted to eat & when they didn’t agree immediately, the employee asked them to come back later! Wow. It was really awkward, especially as the lady was looking at me...the only customer inside! I tried to be understanding and engage in conversation with the staff member but when they quipped “we can’t just have people in for coffee, we have bills to pay” I felt like I was done... I stayed just long enough to down my coffee, feeling really unwelcome the entire time! A young couple came in as I was trying to pay who wanted food & were greeted with smiles and open arms. It took me 10 mins to pay for my coffee so I could leave. Such a shame as I’ve heard such lovely things but it’s really put me off ever going back. Stressed or not, you run a business and clearly do it very well so maybe I just came in at a bad time. Coffee was nice though! Maybe I’ll try my luck another time but I don’t expect to be made to feel bad for only wanting a coffee.

Hello Hannah, We are disappointed that you didn’t enjoy your time with us, but even more disappointed that you felt you had to post your first ever review on TripAdvisor to make derogatory comments regarding my café and staff, three months after your ‘experience’. It would have been far better for you to have said something at the time, as it would have been a lunchtime when we were taking part in the Government ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme. We were fully booked for the whole three weeks that we took part in the scheme, and it caused mayhem as we have far less tables due to social distancing, so caused difficulty for those just wanting to have a coffee. We also had lots of people turning up at the door without bookings, and we regrettably had to turn people away due to not having enough space, and sometimes the café may have seemed empty, but could be full the next minute with everyone turning up for their pre booked tables. Myself and the staff were very busy, but always maintained a professional approach to customers, although some were very rude to us, causing unnecessary upset and anxieties, but very much behind the scenes. Although I say this, we have been encouraging people to ‘Eat for a Seat’ since we re opened on July 8th. We now only have 5 tables inside, and it’s Winter, so we do need ‘to pay the bills’ as you said before (although I do not believe someone would have stated the facts in such an uncouth manner). I have an electricity bill, a gas bill, a water bill, café rent, rates, loan repayments, BT bill, card machine terminal rent and most importantly I have my staff wages to pay, and they of course have all of these things to pay themselves for their families. Next time you leave a review, please bear in mind that your negative comments can make or break a small independent business like ours. Please feel free to contact me directly on faye.rowbury@yahoo.com or come to the café for a chat - I am there most days. Merry Christmas! Faye (owner)

We absolutely loved this place. Stubbled across it by chance and now can't get enough of it! Not only are the owners the most friendly and welcoming people - But the entire team are. The food quality is second to none; and they take such pride in the offering and presentation. There is real passion here. It's not your 'normal' cafe. Everything is locally sourced and such great care is taken. The prices are super reasonable for the quality and the extra touches make it really special. The secret walled garden is just a joy - topped with an alcohol licence; this makes this place an absolute Jewel! Faye the owner has also comprehended the fact that breakfast on a weekend runs into lunchtime and so her hours accommodate for the hungover client in need of a fix, as well as the weekday coffee and cake fix. If its a breakfast bap, lunch with friends or a weekend boozy brunch - This place has it all. Every aspect of a perfect cafe with a twist has been thought of and in my opinion it is a 'destination' venue rather than just a cafe. You will not be disappointed.

We visit the Daisy Cafe regularly and also on a weekly basis during lockdown for their takeaway breakfasts. The food, staff, atmosphere and welcome are absolutely fantastic and we look forward to each and every visit. Faye and her team have worked meticulously to provide a Covid secure environment and have made sure that every detail is adhered to. This makes for an incredibly safe environment in which to enjoy the amazing food and hospitality. Keep up the good work guys, you are doing a great job and look forward to our next visit x x

Visited the cafe to collect a pre ordered breakfast during these unsettled times . My family were excited to be having a daisy cafe take out as a weekend treat as we had missed their breakfasts during lockdown and were so happy to see that they were now offering a selection of breakfast sandwiches on a take out service . I felt completely comfortable collecting from them as they had made special arrangements to adhere to social distancing guidelines and were so professional in their approach. Food and coffee were , as usual, outstanding and I will certainly be going back!!! ❤️

Living in Heavitree we like to walk a lot and this little gem is well within a short walk from where we live. However even if we lived 10 miles away we would still visit the Daisy Cafe on a regular basis. We love the breakfast we love their range of lunches and the coffee is great. We also love, in normal times the once a month Friday evening opening as they put on such a great menu. We have invited friend a to join us here and they also love it here. In these times of uncertainty and financial difficulty it is great to see Faye and Matthew giving back to the community and we love to support them in what they are doing for Heavitree.

I don't know about you but in these strange times, the continuing presence of a reliable local resource like the Daisy Cafe in Heavitree is more essential than ever. So let's get down to basics. The Daisy Cafe is always very friendly. Fancy ordering a takeaway and then picking it up? The Daisy Cafe is the perfect place to do this from, providing consistently reliable, efficient and rewarding service in this otherwise uncertain era. They have literally saved my bacon, many times! None of this would matter, of course, if the food wasn't great and thankfully their locally sourced produce is very tasty indeed. So why not try it? The Daisy Cafe: nowhere in Heavitree is more heavenly.

Have been to the daisy cafe many times and never been disappointed with the excellent quality of their locally sourced produce. I always look forward to returning to the daisy cafe, thier staff are very friendly and welcoming. Today we ordered crab sandwiches for takeaway and these were delicious and came with crisp and salad plus we added chunky chips too.

Three of us visited the Daisy and what a lovely gem it is. We all had the cooked breakfast and we all commented on how hot, fresh, and tasty (complements to the chef) it was, and how quickly it arrived to our table as it is all cooked to order, by a waitress with a lovely smile. We finished with coffees frothed to perfection. There is a garden at the back with lovely tables and umbrellas. Thank you to everyone at the Daisy for a lovely experience. It's definitely a YES from myself and my friends. And will be reccomending to all.

I discovered the Daisy Cafe fairly recently, and have been a handful of times (including getting takeaway before they were able to fully reopen. The food has always been top notch, the staff are friendly and make you feel valued, and the environment is bright and airy. As an aside, the music on the system there is always spot on as well. Always makes my day. Another review was song that COVID19 measures were not being implemented properly. Well, that reviewer either was at a different cafe to me as Faye and Co are doing a steeling job as far as I can see. Hand sanitisers, QR codes for track and trace and checking you at the door was in evidence and there's plenty of room between tables. I heartily recommend the Daisy Cafe, and will be back there on Friday for another breakfast treat!

We are regular customers and have always loved this place and the members of staff here. They are lovely and so welcoming that it makes you want to come back! We have been getting takeaways during this difficult time and the quality of the food has remained extremely good. Members of staff have been very careful and follow the safety rules to a great standard but still making you feel welcome. There is an outside area where to sit, which makes it a lot easier during these times. Would really recommend coming here; such a lovely, homely place with high quality food and drink and friendly members of staff.

Best breakfast in Exeter!!! Incredible taste and very generous portion size. Staff are also lovely. We both had the extra large breakfast and I asked if it was possible to have poached instead of fried eggs & they brought out the best poached eggs I’ve ever eaten. Can’t recommend this place enough!
