The food was really lovely. Starter of mackerel delicious. We all had main of hake and really enjoyed it. Only I had dessert - creme brûlée. Really yummy. Great food, lovely staff, good service. Can’t wait to visit again.

This is our restaurant of choice for a special meal. The food was absolutely delicious, as always, and the waitress was friendly and prompt. We've been visiting for many years and will continue to do so because it's a luxurious experience and such good value!

I had heard wondrous things about this cracking eatery so made it my number one choice to take my mother for her birthday lunch. The place is wall to wall in elegance with a hint of up town Paris boutique in its light yet rustic...More

We booked, which is wise. Parking is not easy in this part of Exeter. This restaurant is in an old building, so be aware there are lots of steep stairs involved in reaching the tables. It has been charmingly "dressed" and the service was excellent....More

Visited with my parents so wanted something special. It is a small menu but most of dishes use local ingredients which is always a great thing to see. Wine prices were very reasonable, beer selection was a bit limited but local, didn’t have anything on...More

Small very pleasant little restaurant, which is not far from the main shopping area of Exeter. Enjoyed a two course lunch, glass of house wine and coffee which was very good value and an excellent meal. I am sure we will return.

Excellent meal, with attentive staff and a chef with an eye for detail. Braised beef was delicious, and the early bird menu was great value. Highly recommended.

A small restaurant near Exeter Guildhall. The food was excellent as was the service. Would not hesitate to return and the size of the restaurant makes it ideal for a quiet birthday lunch.

Green veg is generally cabbage, broccoli, peas. Roasted veg I would expect to be carrots, parsnips (root veg) roasted. I would suggest if you are unsure why not try the very good value £9.95 lunch menu for (any) two... More

Description
For a taste of the Mediterranean without leaving the West Country look no further than Exeter’s The Conservatory. With huge windows obscured by white blinds, tall exotic plants and Swedish-meets-French countryside painted furniture you almost feel it would be a shame to call in after sunset. But come in for dinner and you’ll find yourself in an intimate and romantic setting perfect for that relaxed dinner to help you forget about bills, work and worries. Sail away on a culinary cruise through Europe as the menu takes you from Britain via France and in to Italy and beyond with plenty of local ingredients to keep the flavours fresh and delicious.
