What an absolute delight. Food here was amazing, tasty and really well priced. Forget chain restaurants you have to dine here. Staff and owner are delightful and superb cocktails too. Would eat here again on our next visit to Exeter.

Great food, real Spanish taste with real Spanish staff. One of the few places I'd recommend to make the trip to. Called in by chance and didn't regret it. I'll return on my next trip t o Exeter.

I'll start with the good things: Very good menu and wine list. Pleasant atmosphere and staff are very nice. We had a very good wine and the paella, the padron peppers and the tempura vegetables were good. Now the not so good things: Very slow service, it took over 1 hour to get our food. We ordered starters that came... More

Visited here on Saturday night. It was very busy and we had to wait half an hour for a table. It was worth the wait. Very nice selection of tapas dishes, all tasty in their own right. Will definitely look to go back when in the area. Staff were very friendly.

I went to the restaurant on a Saturday night and I expected the usual "fake" Spanish food, what I found was instead very tasty things. They do not cook the proper Spanish way, but everything was very tasty and overall it was not that expensive to eat there. I ordered 3 tapas and I spent less than 20 £. I... More

We went on a Saturday evening, me and my other half enjoyed a variety of tapas. Personally I found the calamari to be one of the best I've ever had. Margaritas were pretty good as well! Staff were very friendly with a real family run vibe that made you feel at home.

Was given vouchers to visit here by a lovely group of people I had taught on a course. I was so very disappointed. We booked a table for 7.30 pm... ordered at around 7.45 pm. We didn't receive our food until after 9pm. The wine was average. The food when finally arrived was poor. Lacking flavour, spice and in some... More

Having lived in Spain and experienced real tapas, I'm always on the look out for authentic tapas in the this part of the world.(not easy to find) El Bocado serves the real thing.
