I had organised a coach party to Lynton & Lynmouth and 16 of us arrived for lunch at Fish on the Harbour where we were made very welcome. I had to write out the orders which was a bit odd but we thoroughly enjoyed our cod, chips and mushy peas !! When we return to L&L, we will certainly head... More

This was the the third time this year we had been to Lynmouth and had lunch at The fish on the Harbour. Having visited Lynmouth for many years we were always looking for somewhere special to eat on our visits, and luckily for us we can say we found it ! The Fish and Chips here are excellent , very... Having looked up restaurants in North Devon prior to our recent holiday, we planned a day visiting Lynton and Lynmouth and to have lunch at Fish on the Harbour. We found the owner/server/chef to be rude and abrupt and not at all welcoming. We did not get our drinks and had to ask for them once our food had arrived.... More

For fellow Coelics this cafe uses a separate fryer for chips which doesn't come into contact with batter (containing flour). Bliss to sit on the harbour and enjoy a tray of yummy chips. They will also cook fish without batter if required.

After looking around for a place to eat, my Father and i decided on this place, and i am glad we did. The fish and chips were excellent, as was the crab sandwich and draught cider. We found the owner to be down to earth and friendly, as were the staff. We thought the food was so good, we returned... More

Myself and husband went to this restaurant twice- once for fish and chips take-a-way and the next day for sitting-in. The fish and chips were freshly cooked to order and the batter was crisp and tasty! Wi certainly go there again if in the area!

We were disappointed to have to sit outside and eat from boxes as the restaurant stops its indoor trade about an hour before closing yet there were still people eating inside and empty tables when we arrived. I enjoyed my chicken nuggets and chips but unfortunately my partner who had cod and chips was up all night with a upset... More

We made a quick pit stop here en route home one evening. Being hungry and short of time we picked the nearest fish and chip takeaway, which happened to be this one. It overlooks the river with good views out to sea. We ordered 2 kids meals and one cod and chips and one Cornish pasty and chips. The cod... More
