Thought i'd return hoping things would have improved, its in such a perfect location and set in a lovely building, we didn't book but there was plenty of room....worrying sign! It was a chilly evening.....it was also chilly inside! Order pork belly.......looked uncooked was swimming in grease and impossible to eat! Told the waitress i didn't enjoy this, she offered... The service was incredible we booked a few months in advance and requested a window seat as this overlooks the barbican which is beautiful, the waiter ensured it was kept for us despite them being busy. The service was efficient yet not overpowering and was probably the best I have received for a while. we ordered from the Christmas menu... More

Dinner was good, staff served some customers wine, but not ours which was a bit annoying as we were clearly students. The calamari taste great, but they ran out of the main we wanted. They were happy to serve us some of the side which came with that main for a price which was nice of them. Mixed review.

We have lived in the area for many years and have never been in the Glassblowing house so we decided to call in for lunch - The meal that we had was well presented and well cooked and the service was good. Well worth a visit.

Out with a group of friends for a Christmas get together. Every vegetarian meal sent back.... replacement meal was no better. Paid £2 extra for the 'cheese platter' and I was given four thin slithers of cheese and two crackers! I would not recommend The Glassblowing House.

The location is beautiful and the food is delicious. The acoustics in the building are a bit odd, it felt really noisy.

We visited on the 2December a table of 10 ladies for our Xmas meal. What a disappointment food was unappetising vegetables cold ,turkey so tough and dry unable to cut. Puddings didnt get any better wafer thin brûlée and biscuits you would break your teeth on all for an extortionate amount of money feel completely ripped off. Oh and don't... More

The ratings were high and several in the group wanted seafood - it seemed like a good choice. Nope! 1. Freezing in there - had to eat with coats on. 2. Couldn't (Wouldn't) give us separate checks. 3. Food - ehhh. 4. Prices - high. 5, Took forever! People seated after us ate and left before we were served. There... More

We visited this establishment on a recent visit to Plymouth. We were a party of five and decided to have brekfast here due to being in a good location with reasonable prices and nice decor. The breakfast itself was ok, although it took a fair time to come, with our party having two coffees (having to order a second due... More

We visited on Saturday 19th November, a table of 6 plus a baby. The service was good from the offset, the waitresses were very attentive, however what I was really not impressed with was seeing how my lunch was plated up and also what was served on the plate. We all ordered just a main course, mine was a gluten... More
