Like another reviewer remarked, we'd never have visited it if we'd not had time to kill before catching our train. As Station Cafes go, it's OK. The coffee was good, as was the bacon roll I had - not a gourmet's delight but it fitted the bill perfectly, so it was OK and I'd have no hesitation in using it... More

You will probably never visit this cafe unless you are waiting for a train - I know I never would. That being said it is completely fine for the purpose it serves. The coffee and food is nice. But the prices are inflated due to it being a train station. Pretty much the same across the country really.

Stopped for a cup of tea while waiting for train. Tables were filthy as was the floor. Asked for paper napkins and cleaned my own table, another person did the same with a cloth. Presume that there are either not enough staff or they are badly managed but pretty depressing to be honest. At least they have PG Tips not... More

Used this café a number of times and have found the staff to be friendly and efficient and who do not seem to mind you using the café for a 'waiting room' whilst waiting for your train. The food and drinks on offer are the 'typical' commuter snacks but do fill the gap between meals. Want more could you want?

It's the only food place and opens quite early. Drinks slightly better priced than the mini Spar shop across the concourse. I fell for the bacon butty deal which comes with any hot drink especially at breakfast time. Less than £2 extra but alas the quality and taste don't justify it. It's unsmoked bacon with no flavour. It is not... More

Standard food but really nice staff and quick service. Can get crowded but not their fault. Coffee is good and bacon roll excellent!

Description
The local franchise of a large national chain operating concourse catering establishments particularly at larger railway stations in the south and west of England. In Plymouth where because of it's extreme west location there are frequent delays and a lot of waiting. This cafe which I have used dozens of times is surprisingly competitive in price and quality of an albeit limited selection. It's fresh, often hot and tasty. A listing would be of considerable use to travellers to and from the city. There are few if any alternatives anywhere close by.
