Packed regularly when it first opened. Sourdough and communal eating attracted upmarket folk from all around at a time when then the format and also the RWY was a novelty. Gradually they downsized as bigger businesses took over and could more readily pay for big...More

Great place to either eat in or take out. A couple of times during our stay on Williams Yard we visited this place to purchase bread which was very fresh. There were other things to purchase including cakes, slices of different tray bakes as well...More

Very nice, slightly unusual big benches, fresh bread and as much toast as you can eat for no extra cost - If you want a British Breakfast then you can get their version on a wooden board - If you like rustic then you will...More

Royal William Yard is a wonderful refurbishment project that you need to know about. You won't happen across it by accident, although once there you can't miss the Bakery. Great fresh coffee and red velvet cake to help you recover any calorie deficit that might...More

A very interesting place. Kind of a do-it-yourself breakfast that works very well. Very good quality food and well made coffees. The prices reflect it's trendiness I guess and in my view are well worth it. Recommended.

Sat here and so underwhelmed that I vow never to return. Expensive and poor selection. £2.20 for a tea is ridiculous. But what lets it down is the dour atmosphere. Staff need some education in customer engagement and satisfaction. They don't speak, never smile and...More

I get what this place is trying to achieve with a 'shabby chic' look, but this place is very basic and yet expensive. If they want to present a minimalist dinning experience, then that should be reflected in the cost.

This place was ok. The concept is supposed to be clever but in reality it's just a bit irritating. It's self serve for pastries, toast or as they say, anything uncomplicated and they cook everything else from the limited menu choice. You write your own...More
