Lovely venue - welcoming and furnished nicely in an art deco style. Amazing food - if portions were a little on the large size, not something I would usually complain about! More importantly, the service was exemplary. We asked to be moved as there was...a very loud party close by and were immediately found another table. Me and two friends ate here last night, this was first time trying the restaurant since it’s been Ocean View. We were not disappointed! The food was amazing, especially the scallops!! Warm welcome, pleasant staff and good food. However we had to wait 40 minutes for our food and other people who came later were served before us. Few niggles: no condiments on the table, no mustard , horseradish etc offered - had to ask for...some, forgot a drink and had to ask twice for water, no dessert forks provided. This is the best place in Plymouth for a Sunday Roast, the food was so tasty. The domes Christmas decs are beautiful and the restaurant is cosy/ calming. I had a luxury hot chocolate and my partner had a cappuccino, both were lush. All of...the staff were really friendly , shout out to Sam who was attentive and served us promptly. Took my Mother here for a cream Tea and have to say very disappointed with it. We received our pots of Tea promptly. However we waited a further 20 minutes to receive our Scones. There was ample Cream and Jam but the Scones themselves didn't...appear home made they looked shopped bought. They had warmed them through which would have been OK if it weren't for the fact when you cut them they literally crumbled into pieces. Also we were not given plates to have our Scones on. They were given to us on Napkins. There was no good morning please or Thank you and no eye contact from the man at the ordering area. Thoroughly disappointed and not worth £7 . Won't be visiting again. Sorry but will be sticking to the Tudor House on the barbican . SandraMore

Great spot with fantastic view of the sound and nice and cosy when the weather isn't too good. Staff are lovely and helpful. Cakes are yummy. We just stopped for coffee and cake halfway through our regular dog walk but the breakfast being served to...adjoining tables looked really good too.More

3 friends went for afternoon tea yesterday to celebrate a 70th Birthday ! We greeted by a friendly young man who took our coats and showed us to our table in the window with wonderful views. Our afternoon tea for 3 arrived … it was...delicious with a great balance of savoury and sweet choices . We all had afternoon tea to drink as driving. As the Dome has changed hands a few times over the years i was not sure what to expect but what we did have was a evening of amazing service and amazing food . we went for a meal and a catch up nothing special...but we were seated in the window with all the lights out in the Hoe , a great choice of drinks and a choice of menus , the steak was well cooked my friend had the ox cheek ,amazing and we had to have a pudding again both amazing .The service was attentive and relaxed and as the restaurant filled up the atmosphere was just right . we left with plans to return with more friends and family and we both felt that a quick meal and a catch up had turned into a special evening .More

The fixed price lunch menu was an excellent choice, competitively priced and great taste combinations. The service was impeccable, our server Patricia was astute, friendly and the overall atmosphere was wonderful. Ocean views available even without window seats.
