We popped into this restaurant on a Sunday expecting to be the only people at 6.30 but it soon filled up. Slightly hidden from the main drag of The Barbican, it's rightly described as a hidden gem. We went for a Himalayan experience. Very fresh,...light poppadoms were followed by veg momo's and Himalayan chicken. It was a sweeter sauce than I expected but very rich and unctuous. A pleasant experience, would go back.More

I eat here because it's convenient for the hotel but it has gone downhill from its heyday. I don't mind the sticky tables, the flat beer and the food is pretty average these days. I do object to the next day emergency toilet visits though!...Every time!More

We went to this rubbish place on 28th of August at 19.00. I asked the staff if there was available table we would like to come in 1 hour later. They said yes. We went there and waited for to be served. After us an...English couple came and asked if there was available table. they asked them to wait After 2 minutes they were taken to a table before we were served. Then the staff took us to a table where the room was very noisy and unpleasent. Well, we were very angry with the sitiuation and had to leave. My wife was very offended with this discrimination. They tried to calm her by saying there was a confusion. It was a lie!! Everyting happened in front of us. We were Very Disappointed. Be ready for their low class treatment!!More

Best indian food I have ever had in the UK. Firstly we ordered momos for takeaway and booked a dinner table for later and the manager assured as a table for later. Food was fantastic, out of the world even the service. Staff was very...professional, manager helped us to choose the best and spicy dishes out of the menu. I would really recommend to go and have food if you are in Plymouth. A worth place to visit!More

Friday 22nd September. We actually got a takeaway solely based on the reviews. Positives; Popadums, Naan, Rice all decent. Chicken Madras & Chicken Tikka Balti - identical thin soupy sauce (albeit tasty - still v thin). Himalayan Squid…. The only blessing was that it was...a tiny portion. The only question; what did that poor squid ever do to you?! A laugh out loud serving if the worst degree… still - the kids loved the popadums!More

Good food, reasonably priced. Consistent quality. In my opinion, best in central Plymouth atvth3 moment, particularly when you factor cost in.

Great food and customer service. we’ll be returning. The only down side was they tried to put us in the room at the back of the restaurant. Brightly lit, and I mean bright!! with no atmosphere. Completely different to the front of the restaurant and...upstairs. But we were offered a table upstairs.More

Gorgeous meal , both my husband and I throughly enjoyed our meal. My vegetarian Dhansak was exquisite and my husband chose the vegetarian Ceylon curry which he too would highly recommend. Only criticism is that the lighting was too dim as we had trouble reading...the menu and also one of the waiters wasn’t particularly engaging.More

What a delightful hidden Gem this Indian restaurant is, you should book as it's clearly very popular. Popadoms with the usual accessories to start, they have a good choice of Beers and Wines also. The menu is Choc-A-Block full of fantastic meals! the waiters are...great, letting you know the various Chilli Heats of the curry's and recommending what would suit your pallet, I fancied a Jalfrhezi but settled for the slightly less hotter Chicken Madras, so so good! my Son had the Lamb Pasanda which he loved! the prawn butterfly and the prawn puree were a delight. My wife had the Chicken Biryani as she's not into food being too hot and spicy and she really enjoyed. The atmosphere with the low lighting, beams and in a street just back from the main street through the Barbican all added to the delightful atmosphere of the place. We will CERTAINLY be back!More

This was disappointing as we’ve been meaning to go to this little place in the back streets of Plymouth for a year or two. Atmosphere is great albeit quiet and intimate and service was good. Sadly the main courses were just a non event. The...meat was very poor quality and the sauce was just a watery gravy. It was spicy but lacked any substance or flavour. Perhaps it’s was a bad day in the kitchen but I don’t think we’ll be going back sadly.More
