Six of us came for a meal following a Passing Out Parade. The food was great, the atmosphere very pleasant., and we could see the sea from our table. We were served by Ella who could not have been more helpful or friendly. Together, these...made for a great end to a very enjoyable day.More

All at a very reasonable price. Will most...definitely coming here again when I am next in Plymouth. Thank you for a great experience.More

We came here for lunch and a drink on a beautiful sunny April day. We sat outside with our dog and ordered the sharing ploughman's and 2 pints of cider. The ploughman's arrived and it was enormous, there was a wide variety of delicious meats...and cheeses, pickles, chutney, grapes, apple, biscuits, a bowl of lovely dressed salad and a variety of bread and butter. It was the best ploughman's I have ever had and there was plenty there for the two of us. The service was friendly and efficient and the setting, glorious, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Waterfront as a wonderful place to eat and drink.More

First class food cooked by a new chef, who has took the food to a higher level. What a location with a great choice of ales and wines. A must visit venue.

Ive been visiting The Waterfront for years, primarily during the Summer season for al fresco drinks on its terrace; however, I decided to visit with a friend for a Sunday roast and the highlight of our visit ended up being the service. The beef was...a mixture between chewy and overly fatty, the vegetables were undercooked and certainly not a good enough value for money. Our waitress however (I can’t remember her name!) was absolutely lovely and made the experience worthwhile. Maybe the kitchen were having an off day…?More

I ate there with my friend at lunch on a Sunday. The food we were served was barely edible. I ordered a soup. I was told that it was a mushroom and chives soup. When it came it was served in a tea mug -sized...bowl. The ‘soup’ was in fact just rehydrated dried mushrooms and the stock made by the hot water poured onto them. It was very salty and of course no chives were to be seen in the dried mushroom stock water. I left the soup so all I had to eat was the bread roll and butter that came with it. I was going to order desert but my soup convinced me not to risk it. My vegetarian friend ordered the veggie roast: risotto and roast potatoes. Serving roast potatoes with a risotto was already a weird concept. When it came the ‘risotto’ was presented as a solid circular shaped patty. There were raisins and currants in it and it was so unpleasant to eat that my friend just ate some of the chips ordered for her child. Not the best experience.More
