This really is some exceptionally good food. We both had Hake, with a bisque sauce, on saffron potatoes, and fennel, It was superb. The deserts are really good, they arent too sweet, just subtle, which means you can really enjoy the flavour. Poached pear and...Apple tartlet we had. And then we had another desert, the chocolate dish, super rich, but again, not too sweet. Its the kind of desert you can have two of!More

Just had Sunday lunch and it was amazing. We’ve never had a bad meal here, the Sunday roast is exceptional, lots of wonderful veg and the service is great. Can’t recommend it highly enough…in the words of Arnold Swartzeneger “ we’ll be back”.

Whenever we have friends down to visit and we're out for dinner, we always visit the Thatched Tavern. The quality of the food and service is consistently top quality and we are never disappointed. If we went anywhere else, we'd worry too much about it...just not being up to scratch. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!More

We’re never disappointed, whether we go for lunch or dinner, the food is always exceptional and the staff always friendly, we don’t usually have Sunday dinner out as 9/10 times we’re disappointed, but not here, the portions are generous and any Yorkshireman would be proud...of their Yorkshire puddings 😋 can’t wait to go backMore

Food, service and ambience is always second to none at this beautiful inn, hence we held our family party here last Sunday for 13 of us. We have been to this gorgeous pub/restaurant on a few occasions whilst on holiday in Goodrington. A bit of a drive out, but well worth it. The interior is lovely and very cosy. We popped in for lunch the last time we were down there...in September, and sat in outside in the beautiful garden as it was a lovely sunny day. We ordered sandwiches, which were delivered to our table promptly. The food is amazing. We have never had a bad experience. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. We look forward to our next visit.More

The staff are really friendly and work well as a team. Sat outside with the dog. Had the Nut Roast, which had plenty of perfectly cooked vegetables. Did ask for a little more Cauliflower Cheese, as I like to eat exceptionally large portions. Thankfully we...had enough coins to feed the parking machine (which comes off the bill when you pay). Nice to see two real ales on the hand pumps, but went for the scrumpy anyway.More

A very substantial and well cooked Sunday lunch sereved by enthusiastic, polite and well trained young staff. The portions are generous and every element on the dish had been thought out. This was a revelation about pub food but then I learned that the chef...used to work at The Meadfoot Bay hotel which was a favourite place to dine. I thotoughly recomment this pub!More
