Visited last Friday for lunch with friends. We were very surprised by the superb quality and variety of the burgers and the rosemary fries were delicious. The service was first rate. We will be regulars at this restaurant

Good burger but not balanced

A sleepy week day visit for myself and my partner this week. Overall, it was a great evening. The place was busy and clearly doing well, which is great to see! We both went for the 'truffle shuffle' burger. The first thought of flavour was...good. However, there was no truffle. Sadly, the only part that had truffle in was the mayo. By the time I had finished the burger, my pallet was overwhelmed with sweetness from the amount of red onion chutney on the bun. All the burgers needed was some balance and a bit of thought of the layers and would have been great! But the biggest letdown was the lack of truffle. If it's on the men, please make it sing. We will be back but may not order that burger agai. Hopefully, the feedback i left on the night reached the chefs. All the best, thanks for a good evening.More

Friendly and welcoming

I can not fault this place the staff were lovely, inviting and welcoming, we hadn't booked and they were still able to slot us in on a Friday evening. The service was quick and polite and the burgers we had were juicy and good value....I haven't stopped raving on about such a good burger since having one from in and out in California ten years ago. Definitely would recommend this one if you love a good burger!More

Very satisfying burger

I had been looking forward to coming to Meat 59 for a while and decided to go with friends for lunch. The Friday lunchtime deal was good value for money and the smoking cow burger was fantastic. It really did have a smokey flavour and...the whole thing was very satisfying. It was accompanied with rosemary salted chips and I added onion rings as a side to share, these were also very nice and well cooked. The staff were friendly and professional and we were well looked after. Please open up for Meat 59sMore

Awesome burgers!!!

Wow wow wow!! Meat 59 really is an excellent place to eat!! The food, the atmosphere and the service! We went on Tuesday 26th and had THE best burgers! (meat 59 blew my partners taste buds away!!) The pattys are so flavoursome.... Simply yummy!! Service...was great and the surroundings and vibe was just what we wanted - upbeat and chilled!! Thank you - we will be back!!More

Great food

We came for an early visit with our three young children. The lady serving us was lovely and accommodating. We really enjoyed our burgers and loaded fries but wouldn’t have the wings again as we found them unexceptional. We would come again if we were...close by.More

DON’T HESITATE! AMAZING FOOD

Food is amazing! We had halloumi fries and wings to start, which was very good! We then had to of the Meat59 burgers… wow wow wow!! Absolutely amazing! Service was great. Friendly and attentive. Cannot say a negative word at all. Wish we had a...restaurant like this closer to home. Incredible! You will not regret coming here for a meal!More

Outstanding

I have been here twice in the last week - what a burger! During the week they offer a burger, fries and drink for £12. An absolute steal of a deal. The dude that works out front is really nice and can’t do enough for...you. The food is insane. Without doubt, the best burger I’ve ever had. This place is a hidden gem in Torquay and we’re very lucky to have them.More

Great little find!

Quick friendly service. Really cool decor. Very clean. Portion sizes reasonable too, and tasty. Only downside was being slightly out of town but would visit again!

Meat59 remains in my top5 favourite places to eat.

A great local restaurant. Super friendly staff. Excellent food. Relaxed / informal and inviting atmosphere. Great experience for families, groups of friends, for social or special occasions.

BEST BURGER EVER FOR ME!!

Tonguegasm!

Beautiful, moist, tasty burger with a;beautifully balanced combination of blue cheese, red onion marmalade, spinach, truffle mayonnaise and mushroom (truffle shuffle). Couldn't fault it!

Excellent burgers

Excellent burgers and service. Really accommodating for our family (3 year old) and the food was just excellent, great portion sizes and a really reasonable price.

Lovely burger !

Stopped off for a burger while staying in Torquay as the burger restaurant that I have always gone to has closed down. Lovely burger and friendly swift service, what more could you want ?

We found it very family friendly, the staff were brilliant with our grandchildren. There are a couple of steps up to get in but we were helped in through them. The only thing that I am not sure about is what the baby... More
