Beautiful food, incredibly friendly hosts who took time to ensure your meal experience was first class. I had the Tournedos with Wild Mushroom and Shallots and the fillet of beef just melted in your mouth. Stunning. However, I have to say, make sure you leave...room for dessert because I’d highly recommend the Orange Tree Trio. Oh wow! It’s a must. Amazing choice of wine to accompany your meal, you certainly won’t be disappointed. If there is only one place to visit for great food, ensure you put the Orange Tree at the top of your list. Can’t wait to go again.More

Before our visit to Torquay I booked a table at the Orange Tree Restaurant online. We had tried to book a table on other visits, but had been unsuccessful. We had a super meal and every dish was 'a picture'. The pan-seared Scallops were delicious....My husband had Loin of Westcountry Lamb which he thoroughly enjoyed. As I have an allergy to Prawns, I requested the Sea Bass Fillet without the Crayfish. As the Saffron Risotto was made with a Crayfish sauce the Chef cooked a fresh Risotto just for me! We finished our meal with the delicious Panna Cotta with berries and coffee.More

Where do I start first of all WHY ISNT THIS RESTAURANT A MICHELIN STAR ?? Whilst visiting torquay ( I do regularly ) my partner and I managed to get a late booking so glad we did because this establishment is simply OUTSTANDING!!! The food...is absolutely delicious the presatation is stunning and the flavour, texture etc are perfectly matched . The goat cheese starter was to die for and the sea bass main . ... well probably the best sea bass dish I have ever eaten not to mention the orange sponge dessert that was a taste of heaven . The 5 cheese choice were also perfect for texture n flavour glad to see them using local cheese . The portions were plentiful and a great choice on the menu something for everyone. Great wine choice with an extensive variety. Each member of staff all were curtious, friendly, and professional a great asset to the manager / owner . We visit often and this restaurant will be on top of our list most definitely . We can't praised this restaurant enough thank you for a great experience A Diamond of a restaurant in the heart of torquay.More

Had a truly wonderful evening at The Orange Tree. The food was absolutely exquisite and the service excellent. Fillet steak that melted in the mouth, sea bass fillets with cray fish risotto was stunning and the absolute standout dessert was the berry panna cotta. Decor...pleasant, lovely crisp white table cloths. All in all a faultless evening.More

Booked The Orange Tree for a family meal to celebrate my nieces’ 18th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for the team from helping to decorate the table to spoiling the family throughout and even turning hands to photography! The food and wine were all...fantastic and a great evening was had by all. A special shout out to Nelson and Martin - who were both especially lovely.More

Can't fault the service but the quality of the food is distinctly average. Fillet steak in particular was very poor quality and the lobster bisque was a disaster
