Poor experience start to finish. Both waiters appeared to have no experience at all. On arrival restaurant was quiet with only one other table, waiter was unable to prepare alcoholic drinks, so we had to wait for another waiter, which resulted in a 40 minute...wait for drinks. Once food was finally ordered, starters and main course all came at once, leaving no room on the table. The chicken tikka was cold and had to go back to the kitchen to be microwaved and the naan bread was hard. Sadly, the food was not what was expected having read other reviews. The waiters were pleasant, but not once checked that the food was ok or whether we would like more drinks. The ladies bathroom was far from clean with no toilet paper and a dirty sink. The meal was very disappointing and expensive. It was easy to see why the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night.More

This is a third time I have visited this restaurant and last time I’m afraid. The first time the music was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves speak the second time we took friends from Devon and we were cramped in at the back of...the restaurant and service was bad. Last night was equally bad, they took over 20 mins to come to our table to take orders for drinks then had to wait nearly an hour for our food. We witnessed a table being turned away because they were only 10 mins late and the ‘manager ‘ was sat on his phone at a table. Earlier this year we ordered a TA and we were told ‘ they tried to deliver’ it then arrived so cold we had to microwave it. Never again will I visit or order from this restaurantMore

On the surface it looks very cramped and almost like sitting in someone’s personal sitting room. Previously getting a table for two you do get the feeling you are also dining with the table Nextdoor. The lighting and nicely heated restaurant can actually make it...quite cosy and relaxing. Food is standard English offering but with a slightly more authentic taste. I enjoyed my curry and bhajia starter. Service could be slightly better with more flair, but we will most likely return. Dilli Haat is definitely the better Indian restaurant of the three in Westbourne.More

Excellent food and ambience. Owner is a gem of a person and definitely makes you feel welcome. Really recommend for good and authentic Indian food in Southern England.

Online searched best Indian restaurants in Bournemouth… this was why we came. Amazing food, lovely staff. Evening weather was horrendous, so owner gave us lift up the road to our hotel! Thank you Aron

Tried Chilly chicken and some Indian starters great in taste , Specifically Dal Tadka and Dilli chicken curry its like home food

We had a lovely birthday dinner and the staff were very friendly and brought out a birthday dessert. Would definitely come back!

We had the special menu for two last night which was excellent, very tasty and probably the best takeaway ever.

The food at Dilli Haat was absolutely delicious, great atmosphere and the staff were very good, will definitely go back.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR RHE OLD CHRISTCHURCH ROAD, BOURNEMOUTH RESTAURANT. We are arrived, as per our booking and we're seated immediately. We were given menus and asked if we were ready to order?! We hadn't even had time to open the menu. They relented and...agreed to come back once we had had the opportunity to view. We ordered drinks which did take a while to arrive. They were the last drinks we had, as at no point did anyone come to take a further drinks order and there was no water for the table. The food arrived and was perfectly nice, but the table was pointed at until we made room for the food . Then whilst 3 of us had finished our starters my friend was actively still eating hers when we were asked if we were ready for our main course. We said no our friend is still eating, the waitress cleared the table while my friend was still eating and disappeared and returned with warmed plates, then tried to take my friend's plate away. I stress at this point SHE WAS STILL EATING FROM IT. The warmed plates went cold on the table and my friend struggled to eat the rest of her starters as she had another plate right next to the one she was eating from. Our main course arrived, which was fine, again they took the plates away super quick and then they brought the bill to the table. We hadn't asked for the bill and would have liked more drinks. I don't know if they even did desserts or coffees because neither they were offered. They then proceeded to clean the table whilst we were still sat at it. When the bill arrived we had been charged £32 for a bottle of wine instead of the cost of a glass of wine. This was rectified when we queried and they were very apologetic but over all the service was sloppy and poor and we would not return. We have eaten at the Westbourne branch and been delighted, this was our first experience at the Bournemouth branch and one we won't repeat.More

My first time and I was blown away first by the glorious presentation of my stuffed chilis. Really good service and excellent balance between heat and taste.
