Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is in an ideal location right in the town centre of Bournemouth and is an ideal place for people who want casual dining or for stag dos and hen parties. It is not a place for a nice romantic meal on a Saturday night.For...a start it is more like a cafe than a restaurant has poor decor and no table cloths and no ambience only four more people were in the restaurant at 8pm on a Saturday night says it all!The waiter was dressed in a polo shirt but was polite enough and the service was good. With the menu we decided to play safe and ordered onion bhaji and chicken tikka masala and I can honestly say I have had better Indian food from a supermarket. If we had tried to be more adventurous it might have been a different story! We booked this meal through groupon and can honestly say if we hadn’t prepaid with the voucher I would have walked into the restaurant and straight back out again(first impressions count)If this restaurant is to survive it needs a change of name and a complete makeover.More

This place is quite a find. We always go there when we have a gig on at the BIC - it's part of the evening. The food is really fresh tasting and there are some unusual dishes which you don't always find in many Indian...restaurants. Probably the greatest compliment I can give it is that the food tasted like the food we ate in India itself so really authentic.Service is always lovely and they are really sweet people. I do hope it keeps going as always been quiet when we've been there. (Also very good for vegetarians as there is great selection)More

We came by the restaurant almost by accident but were glad we did. Very enjoyable food with a variety of South Indian dishes which were very aromatic and flavoursome. The restaurant was quiet and I hope they get a chance to thrive offering food which...is different to typical Indian restaurant fareMore

This Indian restaurant is a jewel in Bournemouth. Absolutely fantastic. Can't praise it enough. Staff great. Incredibly reasonable price. Can't wait to make a return visit.

Very nice to see curries that I have never heard of before. The menu was not as large and onerous, as is often the case but the kitchen was happy to cook food to request as well as adapt the heat of your dish. The...staff there were exceptionally welcoming.More

This restaurant recently opened - it's great to have somewhere with different and authentic southern Indian food. The food is excellent and not expensive - well worth a visit.

This was our Christmas ‘do’, and despite having ordered everything the week before, we had to wait hours for the main course. Some people left early because they were so hungry. When my chicken vindaloo arrived, I have to say it was the weakest, most...insipid vindaloo I have ever tasted. Barely spicy at all. All in all, very disappointing.More

We went to this newly opened Indian restaurant. Excellent service. Small but interesting menu. All food freshly cooked. Poppadoms to start. We were asked to try some freshly cooked anchovies, freshly cooked. had the chicken dish which was delicious. We also had a dessert. Well...worth a visit. We noticed they are also doing £5 curry lunches.More

We really needed a good independent indian restaurant in Bmth town centre and this is it. They do such good food but just don’t get the passing trade because of their position in town so please support them - we don’t want another chain coffee...shop replacing them. They seem to be quite new to the game, which is lovely, and they cook everything from scratch, so don’t expect to rush in for a quick meal.More

A very good Indian food experience. This seems to be with a South India flavour. Very fresh and fragrant cuisine, beautifully cooked and presented. The menu includes a good range of fish dishes and vegetarian options. Very friendly staff who are clearly enthusiastic about their...food and hospitality.More

We arrived at 5.30pm and restaurant was lovely and quiet with just one other couple. We were seated by a friendly member of staff/owner. Unfortunately menu pages were stuck together with food which was a bit off putting. However service continued with a smile. Masala...Dosa starter was delicious but seemed to be missing a green chutney? There was a very long wait for our main course - 45 mins. We both ordered the seabass. Was lovely but slightly over cooked. Again staff very accommodating offering me more sauce for my fish. Service continued to be a bit slow with only 5/6 customers. All in all friendly restaurant. Above average for choice in food but not quite Very good. But don’t have a ‘good’ rating option.More

Visited recently with a group of friends. Very friendly, helpful waiter and nice to see different things on the menu - the food is from southern India and Kerala, so we all tried something different to what we would normally have in an Indian restaurant....The food was excellent, full of flavour and really tasty. Will definitely return if in Bournemouth again and would recommend to others.More

Didn't realise until we saw the menu that the restaurant provides Kerala cuisine. So welcome, and such a tasty change from 'typical' Indian restaurants. Really nice mini dosa for a starter - a 'must try' if you've never had it before.
