Finally got a table, although it was a 6.30pm booking it didn't matter the restaurant oozed atmosphere! The menu was intriguing but not complicated and the chef and his team, with ease, 'right in front of me' produced first class quality master pieces! Risotto without rice, perfection ?!? "Try the crumble" he said, never in all my years tasted crumble... More

Our visit to the Larder House was not to the restaurant but to "The Library" cocktail bar upstairs. (It deserves its own listing on Trip Advisor.) This was a great experience. The bar has a quirky decor, comfy chairs, polished service and an interesting range of cocktails. Some were from the menu, some were built to order using flavours that... More

Our first visit to this restaurant and certainly impressed. Really quirky place (so nice to find something a bit different nowadays!) offering fabulous food ranging from tapas to sharing platters to starters, mains and desserts. We had beef brisket lasagne, recommended by the server, which was very tasty. Good portion and service excellent. Outdoor seating at the bar and we... More

Had heard that The Larderhouse does a wonderful roast dinner so had to go and see for myself! I had roast chicken and my partner opted for roast beef, I was disappointed that the skin on my chicken wasn't crispy, however the roast potatoes were amazing, really crispy and seasoned to perfection! The carrots, red cabbage and cauliflower cheese was... More

Our 1st visit but will most certainly not be our last - what a fantastic resturant, food was amazing, great portions and value for money, it has a brilliant vibrant atmosphere and the staff could not do enough for you - what a gem of a place - would highly recommend.

A very good restaurant with exemplary service friendly, attentive but never intrusive. We were two couples but families were obviously enjoying their family gathering. If offered the courtyard in winter it is worth taking as it reasonably warm dry and a little bit quirky Food is served in ample amounts freshly made and of a good standard House wine more... More

We were "those" people that turned up at Sunday lunch time with no reservation but we thought we would try our luck and it paid off. The hostess told us we could have a table but needed it back by X time. Not a problem. We were served our drinks promptly and our food didn't take too long. We both... More

We did have a really lovely meal at the Larder House. Some of the food was absolutely stunning (the sticky toffee pudding) but some missed the mark (dry guinea fowl, strange cold vegetables). Staff did try hard but seemed to allow friends to treat what we thought was a nice, and certainly expensive, restaurant into either a rowdy bar or... More
