A very good restaurant with exemplary service friendly, attentive but never intrusive. We were two couples but families were obviously enjoying their family gathering. If offered the courtyard in winter it is worth taking as it reasonably warm dry and a little bit quirky Food is served in ample amounts freshly made and of a good standard House wine more... More

We were "those" people that turned up at Sunday lunch time with no reservation but we thought we would try our luck and it paid off. The hostess told us we could have a table but needed it back by X time. Not a problem. We were served our drinks promptly and our food didn't take too long. We both... More

We did have a really lovely meal at the Larder House. Some of the food was absolutely stunning (the sticky toffee pudding) but some missed the mark (dry guinea fowl, strange cold vegetables). Staff did try hard but seemed to allow friends to treat what we thought was a nice, and certainly expensive, restaurant into either a rowdy bar or... More

Spur of the moment dinner on a cold evening in southbourn Lovely front of house team & talented kitchen Simple ingredients done very well - fish meaty with great stock (but order some bread to enjoy the sauce - it deserves to be savoured!) Heartily recommended if you are on the area I will be back and will bring herself... More

I have been meaning to try the larder house for a while, I finally got to go last night with my friends and family. We started of having drinks in the library upstairs- it was lovely and the cocktails were varied and ones I had never heard of before- the library had a great feeling to it and the staff... More

We visited for the first time to have a good roast! Such a cozy cool looking place to go, the toilets were even an experience. Starters varied from share boards and single starters. 10£each my boyfriend and I shared oysters, prawns, bread, salmon.... absolutely amazing. I had a a turkey roast! Was lovely, lots of condiments offered. Not a problem... More

We came here for the first time on Sunday for a birthday celebration. We ordered the Beef, Lamb and the Ham Hock and were very impressed by the quality and taste of all three. They were all succulent and good size portions. The best was the ham hock with the outside crackling probably the best I have tasted. Another factor... More

Have been here twice recently, since my other half has fallen in love with this restaurant. The waiting staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is of a uniformly high standard. The menu changes frequently to reflect what is in season, but I can particularly recommend the scallop starter we had, the Iberico ham (a number of... More
