A very polite and attentive waiter served me a had a haddock and chips which was excellent only the seagulls did cause some discomfort so it could be wise to sit inside if dining but pleasant outside for drinks . Please be aware of litter as sauces , sugar ,salt and pepper are in sachets and can blow in breezy... More

Had been trying to find somewhere that did a cream tea along the seafront and eventually ended up at The Prom cafe. It said scone and cream tea on the menu and we could see plain and fruit scones in the display cabinet. We both specifically asked for plain scones with jam and cream. Once we had paid we were... The service was excellent and the fish was delicious. The batter was light and not stodgy. Looking around the other customers food looked just as freshly cooked.

I was amazed to finally find a cafe serving Grumpy Mule Coffee, however, service could have been better. After placing my order the lady seemed to wander off without a word and start fiddling with different coffee machines (including emptying one). I wasn't sure if she was actually preparing my coffee or cleaning the machines so when someone else asked... More

We stopped for a quick tea/coffee whilst out for a wander over Easter. We only had drinks but service was good and drinks were hot and enjoyable. We used the clean tables outside to enjoy the sunshine and watch the world go by. A young lad was cleaning them all with a bucket of hot soapy water as we sat... More

I reviewed The council run restaurant on the Pier as poor and this place is exactly the same, low grade food and chaos with the staff, no management visible and not busy, 1 out of 10, if any council staff care to visit this place then they would see the total shambles it is.

This cafe could not be situated at a more focal point in Bournemouth, underneath the overpass where the town centre gardens meet the beach next to the aquarium and in the shadow of the Ferris wheel. The furniture both inside and out is perfectly functional, but on a warm April Fools' Day indulging in a rum and raisin or bright... More

Visited on Saturday and sat at an outside table. It was surrounded by litter, like most of them and all the tables wanted wiping down. They looked disgusting and so did the surroundings. I queued to order drinks but after 15 minutes, the queue was no shorter. The staff really didn't seem to know what they were doing. So we... More
