My current favourite place for lunch. Outstanding food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. There is a lovely, rustic, homemade feel to the foods on offer and prices are very reasonable for the quality received. A great place to eat.

This is a gem hidden away. We stopped over for a coffee break en route to Devon and found this purely by accident. The courtyard setting is beautiful; food selection amazing and wonderful friendly staff. If you are in the area make a point of visiting - it's well worth it.

Such a warm welcome when you come in and choice of sitting by a lovely open fire or sitting outside in the pretty little courtyard garden. I am often in for a morning cappuccino or a yummy lunch - delicious food and especially the apple cake! You can also take in your dog! Great place to either go on your... More

We were recommended this place by some dog walkers we met near the river as we had our gorgeous lab with us and had just done a river walk. The staff were friendly, provided a dog biscuit, and we enjoyed our meal-mushroom pancakes. The fire was lit, service good and have since encouraged friends to go who too had a great time.

We were in Dorchester en-route to Cornwall and found this very nice café tucked down a side alley off the main street. We enjoyed well prepared simple food, a good ham hock terrine and salad for me and a good egg sandwich for my wife. Will visit again.

Family small cafe with basic furniture however they have a varied menu and prompt service. Ordered 2 salads and was pleasantly by the presentation, quality and portion of the meals served - no hesitation in recommending this cafe and would return if the opportunity arises

Warmly greated on arrival, not pushy.....I like that. Plenty of choice to sit although as almost lunch time quickly filled up. Great menu choice, from light bite to more substantial. I had brocili and Stilton soup, fab. Very tasty, hot and plenty to fill you up, just right. The staff where lovely, discreet but attentive too. Definitely a good choice,... More
