Great meal, black stone steak. Very theatrical. We had a hilarious waitress that had a great sense of humour. Really enjoyed the whole thing.

Came here for lunch with my parents and my two young children, one of whom was in very energetic form! There was no children's menu but they were happy to do smaller portions of the main courses for them and were very helpful tbkughout. Food was lovely, arrived in good time and service was excellent. Very friendly and would definitely... More

We had weekday lunch here and can strongly recommend it, especially the great ploughman"s. Generous helping, very fresh. The beers are excellent too, really well-kept with a good choice. What a welcome addition to the eating options in Sherborne.

Just been in here, and had a wonderful lunch. The helpings are very good. On the large size for me. But the food was beautiful. Service we couldn't fault. So lovely and clean in there too. Will go again.

This was our third visit to The Plune since the refurb and we will keep returning. Sure originally their staff were a little inexperienced but I have that they have a great welcome, nice draft beer and a very good menu. It may be short but the various items I have had were great and cooked fresh. I'd highly recommend... More

This is probably the best pub restaurant in Sherbourne, I would have awarded it higher but for the limited menu and the smoke you sit in if someone orders the hot rocks. You can either have burgers or steaks. The burger was extremely nice with fantastic chips and delicious chutney. We wanted to go back the next night but didn't... More

Never been in before...but a lovely atmosphere; friendly staff; lots of corners to chat away in without disruption; roaring fire; modern touch but retains olde worlde look; menu looking interesting and restaurant large but still cosy. Drinks and food...reasonably priced; could have large meetings here I am sure if I asked. Suitable for all!

We visited the newly refurbished Plume of Feathers which is now under new ownership and management for our anniversary. My husband and I both had the Beef roast which was cooked beautifully by the head chef Marie. The meat was so tender and melted in the mouth and the vegetables were fresh and delicious. The portions are very large, unfortunately... More

Went for our second visit since the re-opening, a lovely fire this time - makes such a difference and so welcoming in January. Unfortunately it was very quiet (but a weekday evening) and almost completely empty but the landlord was friendly and we enjoyed our drinks.

My wife and I were visiting Sherborne at the weekend and having heard that The Plume of Feathers had been refurbished we decided to give it a try for dinner. The decor is really interesting and inviting and you can choose to eat in the bar area of the restaurant. The menu is varied with some really tempting dishes, but... More

The Plume of Feathers is no doubt one of the best historic Inns in Sherborne dating back to 1590, the Inn is opposite and overlooks the world famous Sherborne Abbey. Offering excellent well kept real ales from Wadworths, Guest Ales & Home Cooked Food, a beautiful sunny courtyard that is great in the summer months, a function room/skittle alley that is let for private parties, gatherings and meetings and we are also home to the Sherborne Jazz Club. We also have newly refurbished individual letting accommodation with 32" LCD TV's for visitors to Sherborne. N.B We are a pub so we are open late on weekends, so there will be noise on weekend nights plus the Abbey Bells ringing the time on each quarter hour and the bell ringing on Sunday.
