Visited this pub today for a meal and we all ordered roast as it was the only thing being serviced! The roast turned up and it was served with 3 of the tiniest dried up potatoes! The veg was just peas and carrots, for £12.95 this was honestly one of the most over priced smallest roast I've ever had! I... More

Recently visited for s family birthday meal. Total of 18 including 5 children we ordered a variety of dishes, all were home made and delicious. I have no hesitation in recommending the Crow's Nest.

Although there were menus displayed is wasn't until after we had been served our drinks that we discovered there was no food being served. Bar staff was curt and unhelpful we drank some of our drinks left half of them and went off in search of a welcoming pub serving food.

Great local pub, with good friendly atmosphere, although we didn't eat here, we came in twice for drinks. Since our last visit the pub has been renovated, and was really clean and tidy. They had a number of real ales, including a local beer which was really good. We had dogs with us, and they were also made welcome. Cant... More

Came here as a group of 8, we were given a menu with a select choice, the general consensus was that we only liked one or two things. Starters were beautiful, they came in good timing. Mains arrived, a couple of us felt the burger meals were on the small side, the fish n chips were lovely, ham,egg and chips... More

We had a reserved table in the restaurant part of the pub. It was a nice room with nice decor and suitable music. Our drinks and food order was taken quickly - which wasn't too hard as they were only offering three types of roast on a Sunday! I ordered a sirloin beef roast. It came in a timely manner... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit. The staff were attentive, the food was good and didn't take long to arrive. Two days later (a Friday) we paid a second visit. Same menu choice, different staff and a long wait to be served even though there were very few in the restaurant. Three young adults spoiled the evening with their behaviour, pity... More

Came here after friends had just finished the Purbeck 16 and needed a good meal. Slightly disappointing that the only thing on the menu was the Sunday roast (choice of one of three meats). So all 7 of us ordered Sunday roast (three vegetarian!) - after waiting for 20 minutes at the table, then going to the counter to order... More

I'm not sure if we arrived a bit late but we made a special trip for a Sunday lunch we were looking forward to. There was a choice of 3 or 4 meats and we chose beef and pork. When the meal arrived it looked ok but the parsnips were the thinnest I have ever seen, they had run out... More
