A Lebanese and Persian restaurant on Brightons busy Western Road, Taste of Sahara gives seaside dwellers a taste of the exotic at a very reasonable price. With its dcor created with care to reflect the atypical Middle East of story books and holiday brochures all pierced tin lanterns, heavy wood and rich colours Taste of Sahara has a look which reflects the diverse flavours of its immensely flavourful menu. From kebabs to tagines, all ones Middle Eastern favourites are offered by the Sahara kitchen, along with some lesser known dishes that will tempt the more adventurous diner. In particular, the restaurants mezzes prove popular, the sharing concept somehow suited to this

We visited Sahara as a large group of 25 people and it was brilliant. They were so accommodating when a few of us were late, not rushing us to get our order served. All the food arrived at the same time which usually doesn’t happen...with a large group. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful and felt nice and private for the group - it was also next to their garden which was lovely. Overall a great experience and really good for a large group.More

Incredible. Have been here twice. It’s one of the few places in brighton that makes you feel like you live in a truly cosmopolitan city. Amazing atmosphere, located in Brighton’s ‘Little Arabia’. The food is incredible, both for vegan and omnivore. The head waiter is...an excellent host. I can’t wait to come back here.More

Visited A Taste of Sahara in April 22 while on holiday in Brighton. Both had a Tagine, which was very tasty and filling. Will visit again when next in Brighton.

Unbelievable restaurant such good food. We had a great stag do here but don’t worry if you’re not a stag do because they put stag dos out and away from the rest of the restaurant. Couldn’t recommend more, lovely staff

Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, beautiful decor. The portions were large and the mezze starter delicious, but the main courses lacked flavour - no tasty spices or seasoning.
