The Chilli Pickle is a modern Indian restaurant with a chic atmosphere. Went some friends on a Friday night, the place was fully booked and everyone in a good mood. Nibbles for starters, poppadums etc. with various interesting dips. Very good, We all went for...More

The food here is excellent and probably improved since our last visit a couple of years ago. The use of the spices is carefully considered to give fresh zesty taste rather than overpowering the food. This is in the top 3 of Indian food I...More

We visited this restaurant after a friend of a friend recommended it. It's not the cheapest - if you want cheap curries there are plenty of places, but this is different in style. It takes inspiration from all parts of the subcontinent from the gyōza...More

The food is very nice! Menu is interesting and perhaps a little more unusual than other Indian restaurants. Service is good. A little pricey I would say.

Weekday lunch with the family. I had the mutton and it was excellent, chicken Biriyani was as well. It's the best Indian I can remember having for a very long time. Can't wait to go back.

The staff were very friendly and kind; however the food was average, when also considering the prices, which are not cheap by any means. Won’t be returning to this one I ‘m afraid.

I have been here countless times, thought I'd finally leave a review after going again very recently! The food here is always delicious. Can't say I know what I'm ordering most of the time but can safely say I've never had a bad meal! The...More

The staff were so attentive to us, but no in a robotic sense, they generally cared about us and wanted to interact on a personal level. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we entered, up until the moment we left. Nothing was...More

I might not have chosen to eat here, had a friend not praised the South Indian food. It proved a delightful experience. Second-to-none service, both in friendliness and knowledge. We both had a thali, a tray of colourful and really tasty dishes. I 'upgraded' to...More

Description
Having worked abroad for several years, husband & wife team Alun and Dawn Sperring returned to Brighton to find it in the grip of an enthusiasm for Indian food. They found the perfect spot in the cobbled lanes amongst the jewellery and antique shops of Meeting House Lane. The Chilli Pickle gradually but inexorably gained its reputation through word of mouth. As guests returned again and again, we knew that Brighton was ready for an authentic but distinctive experience of Indian cuisine. We gathered together an expert team of chefs with specialisms in a variety of Indian regional cuisines, and our own style became increasingly defined. After two and a half years at Meeting House Lane an unmissable opportunity came our way: a move underneath My Hotel. We're now an established presence on the Brighton culinary trail, but we haven't lost the drive to surprise you with new flavours, this year is our 10 year anniversary! we are very proud of what we have achieved.
