I love this pub, always great Dark Star Ales on tap. The thing that stops it getting 5 stars is the price of the guest ales. £6.20 for a bottle of Timmermans when it is £3 elsewhere? Also other guest pimp ales over priced. Come on guys, don't rip us off. Apart from that, it is a fantastic place.

Nice little pub near the station, birthplace of Dark Star Brewery, and still serving their wares. Was a little sad that the Hophead was off the night I visited.

The best beer in Brighton. Close to the train station. Always miss few trains as its hard to leave. Lovely staff, friendly atmosphere, amazing selection of beers and spirits (we tried spiced rum - never had such a tasty rum before, have to go back to get the name)

Recommended by a local and well worth the walk. Outstanding beer selection and mercifully Fosters and Guiness-free. Bar staff helpful and interested in beer. Lager-drinking partner rated the Boho highly.

I have been going here, on and off, with friends and solo, for years, but I reached a decision, the last time. The following factors , have not changed; the staff, allowing for turnover, have been sometimes great and friendly, but usually are unengaging or rude. The clientele, ok, everyone has a gaff where they feel at home, but travelling... More

I love this pub. The staff are very friendly and have great knowledge on all the drinks from beer to gin! It is a place where you can go on your own and not feel lonely! There are even amazing photographic portraits on the walls of all the regulars and staff. Highly recommend.

One of my favourite Brighton pubs, and the first place I came across the fruits of Dark Star. Great beer in a nicely friendly place. Definitely recommended.

Visited many times over the years, fantastic micro pub since before micro pubs were even a thing. Has all the decent Dark Star beers, with the APA my personal favourite, and a diverse range of guest beers and bottles in styles and breweries. Friendly knowledgeable staff too
