About
Here at The Black Lion, we aim to be the best at everything we do... And we do a lot!! From a fantastic restaurant serving fresh food 7 days a week, including roasts every Sunday, to a consistently busy late night bar... And everything in between... The Black Lion is all about live music, 6 days a week. Up-and-coming local bands, live and authentic Blues, Jazz Sundays playing gypsy jazz, swing blues soul and funk for a lively end to the week, Brighton's most popular Funk and Soul bands and DJs that will keep you dancing until 3am, We've got the lot! ... It's a fairly eclectic blend, but we find it attracts lots of the right kind of people. Don't forget 2 for £12 cocktails on Tuesdays, choose

Looks great inside and out but the staff were less than enthusiastic and got our order wrong, when the food finally arrived it was luke warm. Overall underwhelming especially considering a luke warm burger will set you back 12.50

Hello I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience at the Black Lion. We have been operating the pub for almost 11 years and are not used to getting 1 star reviews with the vast majority of our reviews being 5 or 4 stars....More

Don't even bother thinking about this place!! They lost our reservation, then when we squashed ourselves in a crappy table we were told all the food we wanted was sold out. We'd ordered drinks at this point because the staff member who advised our reservation...More

Went for lunch. Waited nearly an hour for some nachos and chicken wings that were not nice at all! the whole place is quite dirty. Menues and tables are sticky from spillt drinks and food. On the positive the staff are really friendly.

Visited for a quick bite before a visit to the Brighton centre and initially impressed as taken straight to a table and told we would have an order taken in 10-15 mins. After orders taken about 15 mins later a waitress came back to say...More

Dropped in to the Black Lion for a beer when in Brighton on holidays - it is your typical English pub with plenty of beers on tap, Lager, Ales, IPA, Guinness so anyone would enjoy really. We sat in the beer garden and had a...More

A couple of pre drinks before a gig playing locally, this is one of my friends favourite bars. Pleasant bar staff, lovely looking pub.£11 for two pints was a bit mad, but in fairness, they were decent pints.

Dear Macomb, I didn't eat at the Black Lion, I went there for a drink and to listen to music in the evening, why not Goggle their menu and/or given them a ring.
