About
Our pub has a simple approach - to be the sort of pub we would love to go to ourselves. A warm welcome, friendly staff, good food and fine ales / wine - this is what we offer at The Camelford. This creates the right atmosphere from which natural friendliness takes over, and before you know it, you are chatting away with those at the next table and making friends for life, or just the next hour. DOG-FRIENDLY. Good pub should have dogs - and we are the most dog-friendly pub in town. Don't take our word for it - ask the pooches. AWARD WINNING FOOD Our (award-winning) food is served noon-9pm Mon to Sat, and from noon till 6pm on Sundays (where our roasts are legendary). Booking is advisable, but

Short stay in Brighton and had the best roast we’ve ever had in this welcoming friendly atmosphere pub. Staff were lovely and nothing seemed too much trouble. Doggie friendly too. Highly recommend

My partner and I booked for Sunday lunch, the best roast for miles! Full of flavour, plentiful, and excellent service as always. We will be back!

What a great find this pub is. Really friendly, unpretentious pub. Excellent service and probably the best Sunday lunch I've ever had ! Will definitely be recommending and returning soon.

Came for lunch whilst on a new year's day walk along the sea front in Brighton. Stumbled across an absolute gem! The food was amazing! I had the chicken, leek and ham pie with mash, peas and gravy. Portions were big and every part of...the meal was absolutely delicious. They have a big varied menu and all the food coming out looked incredible. I wish I lived closer so I could come more often! Really nice atmosphere, proper pub feel and staff were lovely.More

Had the best roast dinner. Big portions but more importantly good quality ingredients and cooked well. Compliments to the chef. We also tried their homemade steak and Ale pie. It was delicious. Staff were accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. I would pre book as it gets...very busy.More

It was wonderful to visit the Camelford arms this weekend with our grown up kids. There is always a warm welcome from the staff & their food menu is epic. We ordered drinks first (efficient table service). The Sunday roast menu has something for everyone....We ordered 2 pork, 1 x beef sirloin & I ordered the veggie Wellington. There was SO much food. All the dishes come with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, roasted beetroot, cabbage, swede & gravy on the side. The food was truly epic.. so very tasty. There were no complaints anywhere. My veggie Wellington was delicious… The Camelford has a great atmosphere. Highly recommended & bring your appetite . BEST Sunday roast in Brighton. A solid 10/10. Thank you CamelfordArms. Wonderful food.More

Had another Fantastic Sunday lunch here. Wonderful quality food, very generous portions, brilliantly cooked and great selection of beers. What’s not to like. Also really lovely welcoming staff and a roaring fire. My favourite proper pub when we visit Brighton.

Wow ! We popped into the pub as we were staying very close and the weather was quite awful. How lucky we were to stumble across it. We’d both decided to have something light - cheese omelette with chips and a club sandwich with chips....The plates and portions were huge but we both polished off nearly all of it . Beer was nice tooMore

Went here as I was told it was very good. I've been in hotel and catering for 30+ years I can tell you the only thing that was good was the staff. at 4pm the vegetables looked tired and off colour. the meat was okay,...but really at these prices and its pub food you should not cook all your vegetables and make them last for the day. very very poor quality. would I go again (no) whould I recommend (no) there are far better just around the corner. shame for the staff, and nice building.More

It is always a treat to return to Camelford Arms Pub when we visit Brighton. We’ve been there for drinks on a few times I’m previous visit. This time, after a long walk along the seafront, we stopped in for lunch. Mo, behind the bar...was so welcoming and friendly. We ordered two traditional pub meals: steak & ale pie and scampi. Both were were incredibly tasty served with probably the best chips I’ve ever had. Washed it down with a pint of cider, that was clean, crisp and sweet. A wonderful compliment to our savory lunch. Extra point for the service, great music and free Wi-Fi. We will be back.More
