Tucked away in the Brighton Lanes, 64 Degrees is a small restaurant with an open kitchen by Great British Menu finalist Michael Bremner. Our passionate chefs concoct an evolving menu of tasty small plates using fresh, local produce. We hold a Bib Gourmand by Michelin and won Best Restaurant at the Brighton & Hove Food Awards 2014/2015. We were voted 16th in the National Restaurant top 100 list 2016 as well as being voted number 1 restaurant at the Brighton's Best restaurant awards 2016 & 2017.
We were seated at the bar, having a good view of what's happening on the kitchen, served most of the times by the chefs themselves. Which is quite nice because they explain what's in every dish and how meticulous everything is being done. Having said...More
We eat out a fair amount and had saved 64 Degrees for a very special anniversary meal.
The food is generally high quality and well presented. We had brill ceviche, venison taco, cod (best dish), cauliflower with sweet and sour sauce, roasted onion and smoked...More
Our first and certainly not our last visit. The menu is unusual, possibly intimidating and we chose the Chef's Selection. Too many courses to count and we just savoured the wonderful tastes. How to end, rhubarb and custard? How British, how wonderful!
We had been here once before and it is still as good, if not better than I remembered. We choose to have the chef's selection which for the price and the amount of plates is a good price.
Some unusual flavours which were delicious and...More
Wow, what a great experience. 64 degrees is small and unpretentious. The service was top notch, very helpful and friendly. We sat at the kitchen bar (not sure what you should call it sorry) so we could watch the chefs cook and that was amazing....More
On recommendation we booked a table at this amazing restaurant. We arrived a little early and were given the choice to sit at the pass or at a table and we opted for the table, though next time we go and there will be a...More
Great if you like almost raw food. 64% is the temperature of everything in this restaurant.
We had 3 chief recommend menu, can't change any part of that even if one dish is not to your liking. Starter raw beef, raw mushroom etc. Then raw...More
We visited when staying in Brighton for my wife's birthday. Like some of the other diners, our table wasn't ready on arrival. But given it's quite an intimate place, that's understandable. We went next door to Bohemia for a cocktail, worth a visit. So, we...More

The menu changes almost daily and the dishes cost between £6 and £14, with an average of about £8 or £9. Depending on how hungry or greedy you are, most people will have 5 plates between two, though you can easily order more if you want to, as they're extremely flexible. The menu is often posted on their Twitter feed, so it's worth looking there too.
