Excellent food and staff are brilliant, definitely will go there again if we're in Brighton. Reasonably priced too

The place was like an oasis to enter as a family coming from a busy street. Staff were so nice and polite. But the food was not great. The spring rolls were the best among the dishes we tried. But none of the dishes were...spicy, so the kids could eat everything.More

Tonight we went to Sawadee with high expectations but the meal fell well -short The Tom Yum soup lacked any flavour of fresh lime juice, galangal or lemon grass which are just some of the basic ingredients. The soup was bland and before I had...even finished it, the plates arrived for the main course. The Massaman Curry arrived but lacked flavour, so no cinnamon, chopped cilanto or lime. This was again, bland. The fragrant jasmine rice lacked " fragrant jasmine" and we suspected it was just overcooked, lumpy plain rice. I could not eat it. On complaining to the waiter, he just grinned and walked away. The waiter looked most unprofessional wearing faded, ripped jeans and really does need to look the part. We will not be returning and would not recommend this place to friends.More

We called in here on a whim & and we were both glad we did. The food we had was lovely & we were pleasantly surprised when we got the bill. Definitely our cheapest meal while staying in Brighton. Definitely worth a visit

Popped in for a quick bite - going again tomorrow! I had a beef stir fry (no 2 on the menu) and some sticky rice. The beef was chewy but so enhanced by the fresh ginger, spring onion and coriander it was a wow. Now...nowhere in Kemptown is cheap but this was one of the best I’ve had for the price Service was prompt, friendly and all it should be. Quite busy so popular but not over subscribed. Did I say I was going again tomorrow?More

Popped in there en route back to my hotel and was pleasantly surprised. I was by myself so had just myself to please. Started off with the salt and peppered squid which I enjoyed followed by a stir fry beef dish and rice which was...again quite good. Had a couple of glasses of red wine as well which added to the meal but normally I would have had beer but the choice was not great. The staff were friendly and attentive which helped to make it a pleasant ‘solo’ meal.More

Really poor service. Also very slow. 1 3\4 hrs for a 4 person table and it wasn’t even busy. We had to ask for utensils even when our food was served. One of our 4 mains didn’t arrive with the others. Food was mediocre and...nothing special.More

Excellent Thai restaurant in Kemptown. We popped in for an early dinner but you can book too. Really good food. I loved the tofu massaman curry and my 8yo enjoyed the prawn pad-thai. Very generous portions and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Staff are helpful and...friendly too.More
