First, please do not think this is a stereotypical vegetarian restaurant. For some people, this label may cloud their judgement. They serve extremely good meals that will also make you full, and they just *happen* to use vegetarian ingredients. When it comes to the menu, Terre a Terre should be one of the top attractions in Brighton. The service was... More

First I want to say we loved our meal. The Korean Fried Cauliflower were sublime. Our mains were also beautifully presented and delicious. I had the Chai Fawkes and my friend had a soufflé dish. So what went wrong. In a word, service. It started well the server was friendly and took our orders promptly. In between servings they also... More

It's pretentious. The food is nice but really not worth the hype. Rather simple dishes presented nicely and made to sound fancy, but flavours relying too heavily on salt. Not worth the price and 1847 beats it by miles. Waiter was also very demanding, when taking our coats it had to be in a certain way; when not asking if... More

This is simply THE best restaurant we have had the pleasure to frequent! Oh and it happens to be vegetarian/vegan. Long may it continue.

Managed to drop in pre-theatre for a quick bite and get a table. We ordered the incredible mezze to share, plus some lovely wine. Served quickly and wished we could have stayed longer. Their food never fails to delight. Only downside was a table beside us with parents staring into their mobile phones while their kids noisily kicked off.

...to those of us accustomed to vegetarian food which is worthy but dull. The elegant presentation of the dishes, and the nuance and intensity of flavours is more akin to what one might expect in a Michelin-starred establishment. Visit, and be pleasantly surprised.

A gastronomic experience that meat eaters will also enjoy. All kinds of flavours that I've never tried before. Fresh bread is gorgeous and for sale go take away.

We were on holiday in Brighton and a local recommended this to us. Being a vegetarian it's rare I can go to a restaurant of this quality and be able to eat everything on the menu! So much choice. Struggling to choose we went for the sharing platters. Loved the food. So fresh. And the chocoholic sharing platter was to... More

Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.
