I had a hankering for some fish and chips on a visit to Brighton, and thought I would give Harry Ramsden's a try. Despite the exterior looking quite uninviting (rather tired and work going on) I wasn't disappointed. Service throughout from the waitress was friendly and efficient. I opted for Haddock & chips, which came with mushy peas. All was... More

I still think Harry Ramsdens is the best for fish and chips. I did have a burger recently and it was really nice......but I think I will go back to my fave of large haddock, chips, mushy peas and bread and butter. Can,t beat it!!

I had haddock and chips (8.99) at this wonderful establishment and my friend had cod and chips. The food arrived quickly, it was hot, delicious and enough to fill my rumbly tummy. Thank you guys for a great evening meal. We both enjoyed it thoroughly. You can see from the smile on my face, that I could not have been more... More

We haven't been to Harry Ramsden's for a while so maybe looking at the past through rose tinted glasses. Our meal was ok (cod and chips and haddock and chips) but no more than that and it did not leave us thinking that we would want to return to HR's. The fish was a bit on the dry side and... More

We recently had a meal here whilst visiting Brighton and, unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Unsure what I was expecting but, with the famous name of "Harry Ramsdens", I guess I was expecting more than the experience lived up to. The tables were sticky, the toilets quite dirty (with no soap in either of the two dispensers) and the food... More

Have been to H R many times, I now do not order the pensioner special, as while it is quite good value for money, you get fish and chips a drink and a choice of 2 deserts, I found I would prefer to have a larger dinner and forego the desert, so now I just get the standard cod and chips.... More

If you ever in Brighton, you should visited Harry Ramsden. Situated opposite the Brighton Pier. A perfect place to enjoy traditional British fish & chips. They offer sitting and take away, freshly filleted every day. Enjoy the view of Brighton beach from the restaurant or take away while you enjoy your stroll by the sea. A very popular quality fish... We wanted to have a meal of fish and chips. Opposite the pier was the take away/restaurant so we chose it as its a well known chain. We were seated and our order taken quickly. The food was prepared fresh but we had ad rink while we waited. The drinks list was ample for the type of dining including alcohol.... More

Description
Harry Ramsden's serve the same great quality fish and chips today that they have been since 1928. The brand was established 80 years ago, when Harry Ramsden opened his first takeaway store in a hut in Guiseley. His top quality fish and chips brought people from near and far and it wasn't long before Harry's became the most famous fish and chip shop brand in the world. The fish is freshly prepared in Harry's kitchens daily and has that distinctive flavour revered the world over. The menu includes the world famous battered fish with its closely guarded secret recipe, as well as an extensive choice of mouth-watering options and a fantastic children's menu, to satify all the family. We also serve a great grilled fish platter to share. Harry Ramsden's Brighton is opposite the pier and open every day except Christmas Day.
