Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Delightful tapas. We had a nice variety of dishes, and staff was very attentive to gluten intolerance of one of our party. We especially enjoyed the tortillas espanol and baked mozzarella aubergine, as well as the garlic mushrooms and patatas brava.

We were eager to try a newly opened restaurant in Brighton & Hove and we had the opportunity last Sunday evening. The first contact was by telephone when we called to make the reservation. The member of staff was super friendly, high-energy and very accommodating....Upon arrival, first impressions were good. The decor is pleasant. The only negative was a TV displaying sports - not my cuppa tea at all! I guess the intent is to make it a casual dining experience. The staff were busy yet attentive. I am gluten-free and they were very good at pointing out the dishes I could eat. The menu is lovely - a decent selection of tapas dishes. Our party of 3 didn’t hold back, we selected 3 items each. All were tasty, well presented and the portion sizes are generous. Our favourite was the lamb Tagine which was absolutely delicious! Compliments to the chef. We will be going back to this very nice Tapas restaurant.More

Ate here with my a partner during our weekend break to Brighton. What can I say, other than mouthwatering. Our vegetarian meze for 2 as a starter was amazing, full of taste! Just when we didn't think it couldn't get any better, out came our...mains! They were mouthwateringly good, the lamb in my babsa bel l'ham was so tender and full of flavour. The service was great, with a big shoutout to the older lady who served us, she was great! The restaurant has an intimate North African feel to it, shown by the decor, low tables and low chairs. Would recommend and will definitely return!More

Found as we were walking past looking for somewhere to eat. An absolute gem, the food was so tasty all clearly home made! The meze for two was a perfect starter, lovely dips and falafels better than we’ve ever tried. It’s bring your own alcohol...but they do also have a wine list at reasonable prices! Lovely lady served us, general atmosphere perfect for a relaxed meal out.More

What a great find. We had a delicious meal here this evening. We booked the day before. The waitress was really nice and we didn’t feel rushed even though they busied up.

We visited on Monday 13th July. What a lovely little place. Beautiful decor. Loved the ceiling and lights. The chairs were very comfortable too! Friendly welcome from the waitress who gave great service. Every course of food was delicious. The main course tagines were to...die for. Very generous portions too. Would definitely recommend. 10/10More

Absolutely love this restaurant. It's recently been taken over by a new owner and he has improved the menu and there is now an even better choice for veggies/vegans. It's a lovely place for both a quiet meal with a partner or for a group...which the staff cope very well with. The food is really good (the tagines are generous so best to be hungry!) and there is a good wine list too. The Lebanese wine is well worth trying. The atmosphere is really cosy and authentic and the staff are lovely. It's a small place and not particularly noticeable from the outside (I walked past it when I was actually looking for it!) so easily missed - a hidden gem!More

Food was lovely and the staff couldn't be nicer. Always nice to have the option to BYOB but they still sell alcohol (just incase you run out) Also really helpful with us needing a Gluten Free option

Had lunch here on a Sunday (4 of us) and we couldn’t fault the food. The Sweet Lamb and Lamb Tagines were wonderful, as was the vegetarian tagine. So well cooked and excellent quality meat. The merguez starter was also of the highest quality in...a lovely spicy tomato sauce. The service was excellent and it was also BYO with no corkage which was a bonus. We’ll definitely return here when in Brighton again.More

This restaurant has recently changed hands and we were recommended to try it. I’ve never been and we booked for a Saturday evening. The place was full and lively. Feels like the inside of a Moroccan tent with drapes on the ceiling. I had the...soup which was great followed by the lamb tagine and my wife went for the fish tagine. Generous portions and delicate flavours and an aroma of cumin and other spices. Good choice of wines and beers. It was a BYO and several people brought their own wine but I gather now it is licensed that this will change in timeMore

I booked this restaurant for a Friday night to celebrate our first wedding anniversary (we honeymooned in Morocco). We were a bit apprehensive on arrival as we were the only diners that evening, however we enjoyed the exclusivity and the service and food did not...disappoint! Our only disappointment is there was no entertainment as described on their website and Trip Advisor reviews which we had hoped to see. Bring your own booze is a must a definitely try out the Mechoui!More

I came here last weekend as I had organised a friends 30th birthday meal with friends and their family, and I am so glad I did. From the point of booking the lovely hosts were so calm and helpful from the start. I’d arranged to...drop off decorations, cakes and alcohol before which was they made very easy. We were a table of 27 and quite demanding but this was no problem for adorable husband and wife who made sure we had a fantastic evening. The food was delicious, authentic and unfussy, served in traditional serving dishes offering plenty of options for gluten free, veggie and meat lovers so everyone’s dietary requirements were covered and no one had to compromise. They turned the music up at the end, we all had a dance and it had a great atmosphere. The birthday boy, his family and friends all said what a good night it was. Job done.More
