I ordered a gluten free leek and mushroom pie, my partner ordered a beef pasty. My pie had floppy pastry, and very little dry flavourless filling. The manager was extremely rude to me when i explained this. She told me that everyone else loves them...(my fault) and that they cost her a lot of money to buy in. It had cost me £7.90 which was ridiculous anyway. She also told me that is very difficult to make a pie taste nice if it is gluten free and vegan, which make me question why she sells them. I asked for the GF traditional pasty as a replacement- she looked astounded and demanded why I had bought a vegan pie when I'm not a vegan (not her business actually but for the record I liked the sound of mushroom and leek pie!). After arguing with me for about 5 minutes she gave me the gluten free traditional pasty. The pastry was still very poor and floppy, plenty of meat but again very dry inside. My partners gluten rich pasty was very ordinary. We used to love this place and I've eaten many a pasty there before. Never again. We paid a total of £17.50 for a coffee, a tea, two dry pasties and an unpleasant experience from the manager.More
