This is a small venue - about 8 tables. We were given a table in the middle of the room, with staff having to pass constantly - none of who noticed that our food had not arrived an hour after we had ordered, despite bringing...food for people who had arrived up to 40 minutes after us.
When I followed up on this, a few more minutes passed before somebody came back to us with "oh, sorry - what was it you order? We'll get it done as soon as we can."
At that stage we considered the chances of this establishment being able to produce a decent meal to be virtually nil, based on the poor organisation and service up to that point. Very much got he feeling that older customers are to be discouraged.
Instead we went up to the top of the Hill (locals will know where) and met with a friendly, helpful staff who managed to fit us in for what proved to be a great roast, which helped salvage the afternoon.
The only mark I can give the Greys is for the beer and wine, very good but a bit pricey.More
