We ate there yesterday with our 3 children age 12, 10 & 4. It was perfect for our first night at Coghurst holiday Park just 5 mins up the road. The food was tasty and portions were huge! We ordered 4 meals from the specials menu for 5 of us eating with the youngest having a few bits from the adult meals. There was more than enough to share! We had ribs and chips, chicken & cheese pie & steak and kidney suet pudding. All were of a generous size, on plates I would have used as a serving dish for family meals! The pie and the pudding had tasty chunky meat filling in a lovely case and all meals served with perfectly fried chips. We sadly had no room for dessert, though the menu had more tempting traditional sweets including homemade crumble. For the size and quality this was really good value for money. Service was very friendly and COVID was in consideration with the setup and sanitizer available. I would definitely eat here again if in the area.

We have been visiting the 3 Oaks pub as a family for many years and will continue too for many more. Good Wholesome LARGE portions of food at very reasonable prices, please book ahead as can be busy at Peak times. Nigel the land lord will provide the entertainment so be prepare, but you wouldn’t change him! He’s Great Character I would highly recommend dinner if you’re passing through the area either in couples or in large family groups as all are welcome! Will returning for many years to come!

We had been visiting family at nearby Coghurst Hall Holiday Park and, having already sampled the food on offer in their restaurant, we were looking for somewhere better to eat. I used Google to find some pubs nearby and Three Oaks looked to be the closest. We received a warm welcome from the staff and explained that we were just passing, asking if they could fit us in for some food. Yes came the friendly reply and a table was offered to us and menus provided. We were told that it was 2 for 1, it being Mad Mondays :-D This came as good news to us and we saw also that, as well as the menu, there were specials of the day. Our drinks order was taken and the drinks arrived in good time. Inside the pub is cosy and welcoming with lots of quirky items decorating the walls. It is like a tardis inside which is unexpected, and there's a room with a pool table as well. Our order was taken and while waiting we noticed a sign on the bar saying that food was available until 8 pm. As we had arrived about 10 to 8 we were very pleased that they were able to accommodate us with a meal. The food arrived in good order, had been freshly prepared and cooked and was a very generous serving. We chose the Cajun chicken, which came with chips and salad and a small pot of sweet chilli sauce. The chicken was tender and tasty, as were the chips and salad. Very generous portions and I couldn't finish all my food, but my partner polished his meal off with no problems! When the bill arrived, sure enough we had only been charged for one meal and the two drinks. What a bargain and if we are ever in Hastings in the future, we will definitely make this a dining venue of choice. Friendly staff, good food and excellent service. We would highly recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

My wife and I always visit this pub when out on a walk nearby and have visited 10+ times over as many years. This is a lovely country pub full of character, with excellent pub grub. This isn't a bistro pub - it's decent old fashioned food - but the menu is large and varied, the portions are large and the price is very competitive. We will be back!

Went here on 3 occasions on our recent holiday at Coghurst Hall. On our first visit we each had the Sunday roast, myself and my friend had the child’s portion which was plenty, our husbands both had the standard which was HUGE! I can’t imagine how big the large serving must be. We managed to squeeze a dessert in too, after a little break! On the 2nd and 3rd visits we tried a variety of meals, and desserts, all were well presented by very friendly staff, all very Covid safe. Lots of objects around the pub, to look at, bringing back memories to all of us. If you’re in the area I would highly recommend.

The ladies were completely friendly and very welcoming - made us laugh whilst feeling us the most delicious food of giant size portions....they gave us boxes to take what we didn't eat at lunch away with us. Would definitely return and recommend to others! Thank you ladies!!

I've always meant to come to this pub bu5 somehow never have until now. I'm going to be a regular... Food is delicious with generous portions and fabulously hone cooked. The indoor and outdoor decor is lovely and fits in with the idea of what an English pub would be at its best.

I have regularly eaten at this pub, it advertises 2 mains for price of 1 on Mondays. We had one starter and 2 main courses and charged for 2 main meals, starter was free. Queried the bill as should have had the second main meal free and they accused me of never wanting to pay! Always paid previously and have tipped well. They said they would not change the bill!! so we paid for two main meals on a Monday plus drinks. Will not be returning

Hello there, firstly thank you for submitting a review. We are disappointed with how you have reviewed us, especially considering you have eaten with us a number of times previously. Our BOGOF offer has been running for years, and you have previously taken up the offer before. You were told that our white menu is our main menu. The offer is everything on that excluding steaks, sides and desserts. How more clearer can we be? You know a drink has to be purchased with a food item to get the offer. You also used to come in and order 4 meals so you would get two free and we stopped that which you complained about. You often visit the pub so you know how our mad Monday offer works. You were on one table. The bill is for the table as a whole. Two drinks. Three food items. So yes you would only get the cheapest item free. We feel it very unfair you chose to post this misleading complaint / review due to you trying to save all of £4. As you know we are a small family run business who have struggled through road closures, a fire, and Covid, we pride ourselves on giving good decent pub grub to those who appreciate it, and our reviews and comments from locals and regulars back that up. Thanks you again and all the best.

Was there 2 days ago for Sunday roast. I was challenged by one of the locals to try the large roast dinner boy it was massive however I only left 4 boiled potatoes 😁 The food was absolutely amazing I had the roast beef which I had 10 Maybe 11 slices of beef along with a mountain of amazing veg. It was well worth £16 I even squeezed in a sticky toffee pudding which again was out of this world. The pub itself is very friendly and warm and the staff are so welcoming I highly recommend if you are down this way to visit but I strongly advise not to eat much before you go if you plan to eat there. 😉 it doesn't matter if you don't manage as they offer you a box to take away the rest which I thought was a fab idea. The pub itself is unique and very quirky with a lot of humour which i loved the most about it. Unfortunately it will be quite sometime before I'm back for round 2 as I live 40 miles north of Edinburgh lol however I will definitely be back!!!!!!

What a little gem. Lots of room for seating in and out. Good range of foods to select from and they were very knowledgeable about GF dining and adapting options on menu and specials board. Super friendly service, so impressed. Bring your appetite as portions are very generous. We had sausage, mash and veg it’s something we rarely have at home and it was delicious, the bangers were tasty and the mash was magnificent smooth and creamy and the veg was yummy carrots, peas and red cabbage. Red cabbage was a delightful surprise and so so moorish. Would highly recommend this pub for a drink or meal.

If you have never tried there fantastic menu perhaps you are missing out! The menu is one of the best in our area catering for all age groups. This charming house is full of character and even the landlord can tell you a story. My family tried out there Sunday roast dinner and were more than surprised with there variety on there plate, I decided to go for the large roast and was very surprised, firstly on the size of the plate, secondly the volume of fantastic food on the plate, thirdly how can you serve this quality of food for this price. We will be back for another food challenge. Well done.

We ordered and waited over an hour for our meal. The waitress felt bad and said that the ticket fell behind the counter. We finally received our meal but were treated rudely and was told it was our fault because we didn’t speak up soon enough to receive our food. They originally said that they would comp our drinks but the boss said no and no discount because we should have asked sooner where our food was. We will not return

Stopped in for lunch with friends and had a very good meal here. A full demi baguette came with my prawn cocktail, the breaded Brie looked very tasty and the pate was generous enough to share. The homemade pies almost beat the people that had ordered them and the vegetables accompanying them were plentiful. My Cajun chicken was good and they swapped the chips for new potatoes with no problem. Good value, friendly service and a nice rustic place to have a meal.

Our second visit in the week. Everything is freshly cooked and tastes delicious. We had ordered 2 x Sirloin steaks, calamari, chicken goujons and 2 x chocolate fudge cakes. The portions are large and we did ask them to reduce the sizes, which was brilliant. (didn't want waste) our grandsons devoured their meals and everything was eaten by all. The father and daughter set up is good and they were very attentive. If you are in the area, go- it's worth it.

Currently on holiday with family and after reading good reviews we decided to book sunday lunch. Very busy place with great memorabilia dotted around, classic 60s/70s tunes which added to the ambience We all ordered the sunday roasts which come in two sizes, standard and large, which when arrived was hot and plentiful see photo! Dessert was also very nice and again a good size. A very busy pub with lovely waiting staff. Hopefully be back later in the week
