Maggie’s is a real nice place. Great location, great staff and the best fresh fish. Slightly more expensive than some, but well worth it. The big let down is the chips! The chips are frozen chips and not proper chip shop chips. I’d rather pay...More

The best fish and chips I have ever had! Could not believe the size of the fish, 2 big pieces of fish on my plate. Cooked fresh to order and served by a very friendly, helpful waitress.

Maggie has retired, but her granddaughter is turning out fantastic fish and chips. Lightly battered Haddock with her home made tarter sauce is delicious. A reservation is probably necessary since there are about a dozen tables. Fantastic view of the English Channel while you savoy...More

Everything about place was excellent. Freshest fish at its best. Freshly cooked and delivered to table with a smile. Well done Maggies!

I was looking forward to lunch with my daughter. I’d heard really positive reviews but I found my cod to be completely tasteless, full of bones and watery... yes the batter was nice and the chips were good. Service was also good. Maybe I was...More

After reading the great reviews we were anticipating a great meal tonight and it was (unfortunately) not amazing. The atmosphere was lovely ... but understanding that it’s a limited menu as it’s all fresh we were looking forward to an amazing set of cod and...More

Description
Here at Maggie's we're in our third decade of serving you hearty portions of the freshest fish, cooked to order, in a warm and welcoming cafe - the same traditional family-friendly approach as when Margaret Banfield first put her name above the door. We're right on the Fisherman's Beach - so you'll enjoy some spectacular views while you tuck in to our fish, direct from the market below us and our specials are straight off the boats with the morning catch - keeping a carbon footprint of less than 20 miles. You can't get fresher than that! Maggie's is licensed too, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with your meal. We are open six days a week, but it's advisable to call us ahead to reserve your table, and if you've got a special occasion, we welcome parties of up to 40 guests.
