I was here on Pirate Day and the garden was a great refuge. We all ordered a roast and everyone was happy. Like many pub roasts, especially later in the afternoon, the beef was overdone, but the gravy, potatoes and veg and the serious home...More

Nice lunch in the garden. We shared a nice Ploughman's in the garden. The food was good quality and the wine was lovely.

After a few drinks in the Old Town we had a table booked for dinner at Porters to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant was very busy, partly due, I expect, to it being the Bank Holiday weekend. We also learnt there was another birthday party...More

This is a lively and noisy establishment with staff that seem to have lost the will to live. We had to ask for have our order taken and positively had to beg for a dessert. The food was average.

Porters Wine Bar is set in the heart of Hastings’ famous Old Town, at the bottom of the High Street and just a few minutes walk from the historic fishing quarter and seafront. Established in 1986, Porters is a Grade 2 listed building which has been recently refurbished and is a very popular family-run wine bar and bistro. Porters is renowned for its live music and features award-winning Jazz singer Liane Carroll on a regular basis; its excellent home-cooked food (locally sourced where possible) and its wide selection of beers, wines and spirits.
