Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely brilliant! Dave and the crew are so friendly and helpful with a really good choice of drinks at a very reasonable price. Yes you have to share tables (due to the size) but you undoubtedly get chatting to people all of whom have a...story to tell. The place is full of bits & bobs to buy and we ended up spending more on memorabilia than we did on booze. Great idea and would highly recommend.More

Very cosy, friendly pub. Tables are shared so encouraged to talk to people you don't know. Dog friendly. Landlord is a character. We will be back.

One of the most unusual pubs we have ever been in. Very friendly staff. Made to feel very welcome. Great selection of beers and gins. Possibly other drinks available. Most of the interior furnishings could possibly be purchased. Very quirky. The toilets are certainly worth...a visit. Not expensive compared to some other pubs in Rye.More

So pleased we stumbled across this little gem during our walk around Rye. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The beer selection was exceptional, I enjoyed a couple of pints of an excellent American Pale Ale, my partner confirmed the gin selection was more than acceptable....Hopefully we can get visit again in the near future.More

Myself and 4 friends sat down to have one drink after a hard day but was basically told we can't sit on the table as there was crib players, a 10 seater table and they said they had 6 players so that leaves 4 chairs...and the sign said this table is for 10 please share! A couple of the customers (crib players) made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable Barman was incredibly patronising to spoke to my partner like he was a child! We will not be returning, such a shame as the actually place is lovely and cozyMore

Fantastic & authentically friendly pub. Had a great night in here with my wife chatting with a few locals & sampled some lovely local ales. Top recommendation was the Sabro by the Three Legs brewery.

The Rye Waterworks Micropub is a very good micropub and one of the best places in Rye for beer choice. However, this is a duplicate listing under restaurants ( which it is certainly not as it does not do food ), so better to post...any reviews under the other proper listingMore

Yes, it's very dog-friendly. They even have a jar of "Scooby Snacks" at the bar to feed the dogs. Can get quite busy and noisy so be aware of this if your dog is nervous in such situations. I think the owner has his own dog... More
