Used this chippy to buy the family various chip based meals (takeout). Wasn't overly impressed, pretty average portions and average taste. The large portion of fish which I ordered was a bit dry and didn't seem to have much flake on it. All in all average score, nothing to write home about.

We got here shortly after opening time and just as well as the queue was growing by the time we left. Everything was cooked to order (so expect a wait but better that than soggy/ tepid food) and came piping hot - perfect cod, nice battered sausage and plentiful chunky chips. We took our off to Rye Harbour and everything... More

After reading the recent reviews I was terribly worried, I had no need to be. It was as usual delicious. We arrived just after 12 and there were at least 7 different customers in the queue. We had a lovely meal which we took away and ate at the local beach. I would highly recommend this place we have used... More

Been going to this fish & chip shop for about twenty five years or so ............... Obviously we used it for so long because it used to be very good . Over the last two years it has become worse and worse. The only reason I've not gone elsewhere is because my children like to go there BUT ......... Today... More

Pleasantly surprised by the bright airy decor. Pleased to eat in doors on a bitterly cold day. Quality fish and chips (cod and haddock). Staff pleasant and helpful. Parking close at hand. Very clean and well maintained. Reasonable price.

I arrived mid afternoon & midweek, a complete stranger to the area. I was peckish, this was an impulse stop. I ordered large cod, chips & curry sauce. I also chose to eat in. (it was freezing outside) What an inspired decision. The food came freshly cooked. The fish had lovely large flakes and was piping hot from head to... More

Positioned in an amazing place for maximum visibility~ Such a shame that the service is really very poor~ An ill-tempered server, with no smile, no greeting, and pretty much ignored for several minutes.. So...customer service= 0 Chip portions really very small Small battered sausage, nice... Not good value, and a serious disappointment. I don't know if it has changed hands,... More

My partner took me there 2 days ago to have me try their fish and chips...It was a big disappointment! Cod fish I ordered was not fresh, nothing too great about the whole meal.....
