I used to live in Cheltenham and have been visiting the town for the last thirty years and I never knew this place existed until a taxi driver told me about it! And what a discovery it was. Tucked away down a little back street behind Waitrose I was stunned to make the discovery. Friendly staff, good beer and excellent... More

We visited on a Saturday evening after wandering around Cheltenham. This was a lovely find from trip advisor - relaxed atmosphere, played battleships while enjoying a drink in the snug, followed by a delicious meal of specialty sausages. A great way to unwind and would highly recommend.

A bit off the main drag, this pub specialises in its sausages. The beers on tap are a good variety, staff are friendly and the pub is clean. Much better option than the High Street.

I haven't been to The Railway for a few years but it hasn't changed at all. If you love good beer and sausages this is great.

Went on a sunny Saturday afternoon and sat outside in the large garden which was nicely laid out. We had the sausages and mash - Wild Boar and Calvados and a Duck and Cognac. There was a delicious choice of mash including Stilton, Wholegrain Mustard or Garlic and then a choice of gravies. The meals were delicious and you get... More

I was quite disappointed. Haven't eaten there for a while but remember it being so much better. We waited an hour for our food. They didn't get the order right. We booked a table for 7 and they put us on separate tables! Though the garden is lovely unfortunately this place has gone downhill...

We found this pub quite by accident! It is just off the beaten track behind a Waitrose Store, but what a find. Great atmosphere, lovely attentive staff good beer and great food. They specialise in Sausage & Mash, all homemade and a great selection of both Sausages & Mash or you can have their wonderful Sweet Potato Fries. We had... More

Came here on fathers day without booking a table, foolishly, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming even though it was clearly a very busy time for them. They opened us up a tab, got us some drinks and said that they would come and get us as soon as a big enough table was available - which wasn't... More

Went here over the Easter Weekend. The pub is a little out of the centre of Cheltenham but is certainly worth a visit. We had Apricot & Brandy Sausages with Sweet Potato Mash and Sautéed Vegetable Gravy also the Lamb Honey & Mustard Sausages with Mash and Red Onion & Wine Gravy. The food was absolutely wonderful, all freshly cooked... More
