Once again, the Star Bistro delivered an outstanding lunch, where a friend and I were given a very warm welcome by the team before enjoying a delicious meal at a very attractive price. My friend had the perfectly cooked fish and chips, while I opted...for the newly introduced mushroom burger. This latter dish combined a large field mushroom where its natural flavour was enhanced by the addition of mozzarella cheese and a pesto sauce. We then ended with a lemon parfait where the creaminess was perfectly balanced by the fresh slight sharpness of the lemon and a dash of raspberry coulis. The Star College is an extraordinary place and we were delighted not only to be served by the very friendly front of house team, but also by to students who were being mentored in their work experience training. This allowed the students to practise their social skills and improve their confidence so they can leave the College as valued and equal citizens, actively contributing to society. We both left with huge smiles on our faces and energised by the wonderfully positive atmosphere of the place. If you can, please try and visit the Bistro as you won't be disappointed. Yet again not disappointed by our visit to Star Bistro. On this occasion as a party of five we thoroughly enjoyed an excellent afternoon tea. Everything was perfect, especially the scones which were the best we had all eaten for some time. Generous portions of...jam and cream provided the only dilemma, as whether to choose the Devon or Cornish options. Service as always was attentive and helpful. Well done to the team. Great coffee and super lunch! We had originally planned to walk our dogs up the hill from Leckhampton so that we had 'earned' our lunch on a mid week day off for my husband's birthday. However, the weather meant we had to adjust our plans...and drive up to the Bistro. Between the three of us we enjoyed a chicken wrap, vegan burger and roasted squash salad. All delicious. Our daughter insisted we have cake to celebrate Dad's birthday and so we shared a chocolate fudge cake and a vegan chocolate cake. It was all really tasty and well presented. Lovely service from all staff - thank you. We do intend to try the dog walk followed by lunch later in the Spring - when we will make use of your covered patio. We have also recommended you to other friends who live locally - I am just sorry we have not discovered you sooner! Thank you for a great birthday lunch.More

Best fish and chips in Gloucestershire. Couldn't find better staff. Always a pleasure to visit and the food is excellent and good value for money . Nice to go in all weathers but especially in the summer.

Star bistro…. Excellent in every way. A warm welcome guaranteed, staff who are focussed and passionate in supporting young adults with additional needs, food served to perfection in a pleasant, relaxing environment…. What’s not to like?? Two of us visited and enjoyed a lamb dish....Absolutely lovely. Plenty of space between tables which easily accommodate a visitor with a wheelchair or mobility aid and the access to spotless, unrivalled disabled facilities make it a very inclusive venue.
