We had a lovely meal here with the family. The staff are very helpful and attentive. The decor is quite tired as a first impression. We enjoyed a Sunday roast and all was cooked to perfection. Good honest food. Parking is at a premium but...More

Great place to chill and relax from the hubbub of the city. This is in the quiet Suffolk district, so the ambience is local and community derived.

Ok the food was classic pub grub, but the beer batter on the fish and chips was excellent and the steak burger was nice and lean. Both a bit overcooked but, hey, it's a pub. They have a couple of nice gins and loads of...More

Love this pub but very ordinary meal. Hard mash, how do you manage that, indifferent veg tart, verging on burnt and slow service. Shame , other food ok, but not great.More

Very casual, friendly pub atmosphere with a special Mother's Day lunch menu. Starters were not very exciting but the roasts (beef, pork, chicken & veg option) were substantial and delicious. Also a large plate of vegetables (carrot, broccoli, cauliflower cheese & red cabbage) accompanied it....More

Description
In Cheltenham’s well-heeled ‘village’ of Montpellier, a heart-warming city pub for lovers of real ale and great pub food. A regency building with Victorian features, high ceilings, sash windows and a proper ale house feel. A daily changing bar menu provides locally sourced food for a casual dining experience in the bar downstairs, with excellent Beer Battered Cod and Chips and Gourmet Burgers. Upstairs, known as ‘Cheltenham’s Best Kept Secret’ is the Beehive’s Supper Room with its twenty foot ceiling, cast iron chandelier, minstrel gallery and ever tempting wine wall available for occasional evening dining and private function hire for up to 60 guests. Pick a stool at the bar, order a Timothy Taylor ‘Landlord’ and get chatting to the friendly bar staff who can tell you a lot about the place. Ensure to book a table for the ever so popular Sunday Roasts, serving 12pm – 3pm. Be sure to finish your roast with Belinda’s homemade chocolate brownie.
